Mi inspiración para los primitivos del Viejo Mundo comenzó en la infancia, creciendo en casas construidas en la década de 1700 que estaban llenas de antigüedades, con graneros en la propiedad llenos de cosas viejas curiosas. Los fines de semana se pasaban en mercados de pulgas, ventas de garaje, hurgando al borde de la carretera o cavando en los patios de viejas casas abandonadas. El árbol de Navidad de mi familia estaba decorado con vidrio antiguo, algodón hilado y adornos caseros. Mi trabajo refleja mi conexión con el pasado.
Cuando no estoy haciendo manualidades en un pequeño y acogedor pueblo de montaña cerca de la frontera entre Idaho y Wyoming, me encontrarás haciendo senderismo, acampando, mochilero, esquiando o con raquetas de nieve al aire libre con mi esposo Max. Puedes seguir mis aventuras al aire libre en:

Welcome to Old World Primitives by Stephanie Baker. I make handmade holiday ornaments, primitive dolls and primitive doll patterns, for those of you who want to make my doll designs yourself!
My inspiration for Old World Primitives began in childhood, growing up in homes built in the 1700s that were filled with antiques - with barns on the property filled with curious old things. Weekends were spent at flea markets, garage sales, scavenging off the roadside, or digging in the yards of old abandoned houses. My family's Christmas tree was decorated with antique glass, spun cotton, and homemade ornaments. My work reflects my connection to the past.
