For the love of all things old and beautiful

It all started many years ago when our parents took my brother and myself to flea markets and junk shops, and allowed us to make a little extra pocket money by selling off some old household goods and toys in front of our local supermarket. It instilled a love for the old and a fond appreciation for the used. The love to hunt and acquire, combined with the love to minimize, results in a fully stocked shop!

It remains a wonderful feeling to match an item to its rightful owner, be it a treasured gift, a replacement for a lost family heirloom, that swanky new addition to your home décor no-one knew they needed or a few professional theatre props.

At any given time, there will still be a backlog of various items to list, so if you don't see it here, do not hesitate to ask if it's still 'in the back'!

Currently preparing to move to Barcelona! It may take a little while due to COVID-19, but the move will be made in 2020. Keep an eye out for prices lowering across the board <3

Tell me about shipping

Items are sent on Mondays and Thursdays, unless otherwise stated in the store announcement. Please contact us if you are in rush to receive your item.

Shipping will be combined if possible and we use recycled packaging materials. Parcels will be sent with tracking and insurance.

Our postal provider Chitchats express makes USPS services available to us in Canada so US customers will not be charged customs fees (up to USD $800)

We do ship worldwide, please ask us for a postage quote if your country is not listed. Most international postage options were removed due to price hikes and delays associated with COVID-19. Do be aware that your parcel may incur customs fees, which you will be responsible for.

What is my item is damaged or gets lost in the post?

Please contact me with a clear photo of the damaged item, or send me a message if the item fails to arrive within 25 working days (6 weeks if overseas). Please check with customs if they are holding your parcel!

UPDATE: current delivery guidelines are up to 75 working days

Should an item return because it was unclaimed or refused at the post office / customs, the buyer will be responsible for postage fees to have the item re-sent, plus a chitchats imposed fee of $5 cad. No refunds will be due.

Do bear in mind that all my items have a past and will normally show signs of wear. Take care in using them as they may not stand up to rough handling.

What if I change my mind?

To Cancel:

Sorry, I no longer accept cancellations from today onwards (Oct 18 2020) due to my house move coming up. Please read my listing descriptions carefully, look at all my photos and have a look at measurements before buying! When in doubt, please ask for more information or images


To Return:

I will be moving to Spain in less than 1 month and will not be taking returns from today onwards (sept 10, 2020) for all of the practical reasons you can imagine.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you run into any hiccups with your order!

Can I reserve an item, or pay in installments?

Yes, feel free to ask me to reserve an item for a maximum of 2 days.

Sorry, due to my upcoming international house move no new installment plans will be taken on at this time.

Can I come and visit your shop?

Sorry! Unless you are (socially distanced / curb side) collecting an item, this store is currently online only.

I like your items but....can you do better on the price?

Just send me a convo with a link to the item; some items have more wiggle room than others, please do not be afraid to ask!

Postage to Canada / USA has already been taken into account with an average distance when pricing the item - so do let me know if you live in a province or state nearby.
If you live near Toronto, feel free to collect your item from my home in East York. My nearest TTC is Woodbine.

I do ship worldwide, but not all listings may have postage to your country added. It would be a lot of hard work to find postage amounts for all possible volumes, weights and countries we could possibly deal with. Contact me with your city + country to get a quote.

Will I receive the item pictured?

Yes! I take photographs of all items individually, and will not re-use old photos.

My photographs are an important part of the item description so please have a good look at them to judge the items condition. Do ask for additional images should you require them and I'll get them to you asap. Beware that colours may be seen differently depending on screen settings.

I always describe all items, including their flaws, to the best of my ability. Having said that, I am only human and it is possible for me to miss something. Please ask questions before purchasing if you have any concerns!

Will my item come from a smoke-free and pet-free environment?

Neither of us smoke, but we have a dog; a 3 legged beagle called Titus.

He is not allowed in any of my storage areas but his hair travels on me just as much as on him and they may make their way into your parcel! Please be aware of this if you have (severe) allergies.

Having said that, all of my items have had previous homes where there may have been smokers / cats / dogs / birds etc. If any of this is clearly noticeable on an item, it will be part of the item's condition description.
