Back story: I've been searching for a long, women's plus size robe for maybe 3yrs now. They just don't exist. When you find them, they sell out immediately. I ended up buying a men's robe that's actually too big & swallows me. I have alot of health issues & 1 of my medications makes me gain weight. It's been a rough 2yrs for my body & i. I finally worked up the courage to ask this shop if they could make 1 in my size & she was more than happy. Stripes is my favorite pattern 😍 so i was over the moon when she agreed. This perfect stranger somehow managed to make a robe that fits me comfortably. when i put it on i was filled w/ love & joy 🥰 I can't even begin to thank her enough.

About 19th & Whimsy
Welcome to the corner of 19th & Whimsy! It's the intersection where contemporary fashion meets an element of whimsy. My name is Lauren Hayashibara and I'm the independent owner and designer of 19th & Whimsy. My online shop launched in Honolulu in 2012 and is now based in Los Angeles so I could be closer to my family. I specialize in women's contemporary clothing: casual chic styles for every day as well as styles that can effortlessly go from day to night. The brand is all about incorporating a whimsical element: an exclusive print, hand dyed fabric, or simply a little bit of sparkle, into fun and modern styles. I combine a mix of high fashion, resort, and basics to create collections that can be mixed and matched, layered, and worn anytime, anywhere.
19th & Whimsy is proudly designed and made in America. I design all my women's body styles, patterns, original printed fabrics, and artwork. Fabrics are sourced from around the world. Most styles are cut and sewn by me in my home studio and select styles are manufactured in Honolulu, LA, and NYC. I hope you find something special here!

General Info:
Sizes
All styles are available in either sizes Small, Medium, Large or One Size (fits most).
Please be sure to take a look at the size chart picture on each listing.
Custom Orders
I offer custom length & size (XS & XL) orders on select made-to-order regular price dresses and skirts. Please contact me for custom inquiries. I do not offer returns or exchanges on any custom orders. Sale prices, discounts, & coupon codes do not apply to custom length &/or size orders.
Care Instructions
All 19th & Whimsy pieces are washable. Many fabrics are preshrunk, but I recommend hand washing in cold water & laying flat to dry to prolong the life of your garments. Machine washing in a garment bag on gentle cycle with cold water and low heat tumble drying are good alternatives to hand washing.

Returns and exchange details
I want you to be happy with your order! Returns are allowed on non-custom, undamaged, and unworn items postmarked within 21 days of delivery. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please send back to my mailing address enclosed on your order receipt. Please message/email me with your order # and tracking # once you ship. I will issue your refund less shipping cost shortly after I receive your returned item(s).
Exchanges
I do not currently offer a specific "exchange" option. Please follow instructions for returns above & place a new order for the different size/color item you want instead. If you want to make sure I have your desired size/color/style in stock or available to be made, please message/email me.
Shipping costs are not refundable. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs to return item(s) to me. The buyer/sender is responsible for properly packaging the return order, messaging or emailing me with the tracking #, & making sure the package is shipped within 21 days of order delivery, & delivered in a timely manner. Partial refunds will be issued via the method of original payment: PayPal or Direct Checkout.
*Returns/exchanges are not allowed on custom orders including custom length and size orders.

Payment
Payment is due at the time of purchase.
Orders without payment received within 24 hours will be cancelled.
*Buyers are responsible for all duties & taxes.
Shipping
*Shipping costs include shipping & may include: insurance, sign confirmation (for wholesale orders), & handling.
*Shipping costs are not refundable.
*Select orders with multiple items may be partially refunded for overcharge on shipping.
U.S. Orders
*Please note that I cannot guarantee a specific date of delivery, but typically, U.S. packages arrive within 2 - 7 days from ship date.
*Need it sooner?
If you need your order by a specific day, please message directly or email me & l will see if I can make your order asap & upgrade & bill you for Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express if extra charge is approved.
*Priority Mail Express
Please note that this only shortens the duration of shipping. It does not expedite my making/processing time. I operate on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to upgrade to Priority Mail Express, please contact me & I can give you an estimated cost. Once the extra cost is confirmed, I will create a custom listing for you to purchase or PayPal invoice you. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still pay the invoice with a credit card. Please note that Priority Mail Express is expensive. Expect a $20 - $30 additional shipping charge.
International Orders
Please allow 1 - 3 weeks from ship date to receive your order.
All international orders up to 4 lbs are shipped by USPS First Class Mail. Orders heavier than 4 lbs are shipped by USPS Priority International Mail.
