5 out of 5 starsThe necklace was beautiful and unique. Even nicer than expected. Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I'm very happy with my purchase. It's my go-to for shopping trips to read those teeny labels.

5 out of 5 starsI actually bought this for my elderly mother, whose vision is deteriorating. She normally carries a giant magnifying glass everywhere, and, to her point, the necklace is not only beautiful but functional. And thankfully, someone had the forethought to clasp the glass to the pendant with magnets instead of an actual clasp - that surely helps her arthritic fingers, and yes, the magnet holds everything together very securely. While I secretly wanted to keep this for myself, my mother is thrilled to wear her special accessory that enables her to read product labels, etc., without dragging out that monster magnifying glass.

My husband was restoring cars right up until he passed. It was his Passion!
Taking a Big Leap of Faith !
I have been in retail since I was 17. Last October after being blamed for the poor economy I decided to follow my heart. I came home and discussed it with my husband who was disabled and on dialysis three times a week, He knew how happy it made me so I decided to go for it, I had been working full time as a manager in the same store for fifteen years. In between I was selling antiques. About 5 years ago I started selling jewelry at fairs festivals and craft shows on every day ,weekend,or vacation I had. I was doing well but by now my husband was in the hospital over 70 times in those 5 years. (I am not exaggerating).
I was like the man on the Ed Sullivan show that was spinning the plates without breaking them. I was caretaker, homemaker, wife, jewelry maker, and retail manager. I was exhausted. I was passionate about it all. But in Oct. (2013) I decided I was going to be the plate that broke. I gave my notice. It was scary giving up that guaranteed paycheck. But I got to spend 6 weeks with my husband and do my shows before I lost him the week before Christmas. I have no regrets for doing it.
Now I am focusing on my passion. I have regular ladies that follow me from show to show. It is very rewarding. I decided to start dying silk scarves. This has been so therapeutic during my grieving process. The colors make me so happy. The feedback has been great. I am booking more shows than ever and concentrating on my antiques. I have a co op spot at an Antique Market.
Last but not least is my philosophy. On my business cards I say "Where you can buy a lot for a little". The joy for me is making a lot of people happy not just one or two. In this economy no one should have to deliberate on whether they can buy a small gift for someone or themselves. I don't skimp on the quality and word of mouth has proven that.
Thank you all for your support and for dropping by !

After being in retail since the age of 17 I decided to leave my job (Oct. 2013 )and follow my passion.Jewelry and Antiques ! My other motive was to spend time with my disabled husband. Six weeks later he passed away. He was my best cheerleader !
