5 out of 5 starsGorgeous illustrations of my favorite birds! Love that the calendar is double-sided and environmentally conscious. I also have a little notepad with birds on it. Please do more! The birds are accurately illustrated and beautiful!

Homegrown in the Heartland
1canoe2 is an illustration and letterpress studio operating out of a sunny historic building in the Brick District of Fulton, Missouri. In 2009, we followed a dream and bought a big old letterpress, and 1canoe2 was born. The name represents a spirit of kinship, heartland roots, and memories of canoe trips and campfires along Missouri streams with "one canoe, two girls." Everything made in the cheerful 1canoe2 studio stems from a deep appreciation of life's natural beauty and the pursuit of curiosity. Our popular line of gifts and stationery has appeared in over 1000 independent boutiques around the world and select national retailers like Anthropologie and Paper Source. In addition to stationery and homegoods, we partner with wonderful companies to create scrapbooking materials, quilting fabric, and much more coming this year!

FAQ
Can I pay for custom letterpress artwork?
Letterpress is a very old, very cumbersome technique. What makes it so cool is what also makes it hard to create custom items. For each print or design you see here, we first design a plate for the design that costs roughly $60. We then spend approximately 3 hours setting the press up, mixing the ink, printing, and then cleaning the plates. For this reason, we normally print between 100 and 400 of our designs at a time. Imagine if we did all that work for one print! We'd be broke, and more importantly, we'd never have time to create more awesome original artwork for you!
Can you customize any of your prints or cards?
All of our prints and cards are available only in the colors and size shown on the photographs in each of the listing. We realize it’s disappointing that we can’t customize these in all of the many ways (other sizes, other colors, other phrases/sayings) we get requests for, but we have to have time to design and print more great drawings we (and you) love.
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
If you do happen to receive an item with a minor problem, we ask you to contact us with a photo of the problem. In most cases, we'll just send you a replacement for a damaged, but we may ask you to return the item at your shipping cost.
If you are truly unhappy with your purchase and would like to return it, we will refund you the cost of the item only, not the shipping, and you will need to pay to ship it back to us. First class mail is inexpensive and completely fine.
Please let us know that you're sending a return, and we will refund your money when we have it back and see that the item is undamaged and complete.
Payment
We'll do everything we can, but if payment hasn't gone through in 3 days, we reserve the right to cancel your order. Of course, if you've contacted us we will be happy to work with you.
Shipping
--PLEASE make sure you have the same address in Etsy and in PayPal. We will always default to the PayPal address, and can't be responsible if that is not correct.
--If you are shipping outside of the US, please be advised that orders sometimes take as long as 4-6 weeks when we ship via 1st class mail. The next level of faster service often costs $40 USD more, but we can upgrade your shipping if you send us a message. We will try to help in any way we can!
