Perfect Christmas card for my boyfriend, with whom I am unfortunately unable to spend Christmas day itself this year. Perfectly captured the sentiments I want to share with him from afar on Christmas day! Arrived super promptly after I ordered it, and appears just as cute in person as it does online :-)

About

Living the dream in the middle of nowhere

1canoe2 is an illustration and letterpress studio operating out of a little red barn in Columbia, Missouri. In 2009, two childhood friends purchased their first full-size press and 1canoe2 was born. The name represents a spirit of kinship, heartland roots, and memories of canoe trips and campfires along Missouri streams with "one canoe, two girls." Everything made in the cheerful 1canoe2 studio stems from a deep appreciation of life's natural beauty. Their popular line of gifts and stationery has appeared in Anthropologie, Paper Source, Papyrus, Uncommon Goods, and over 1000 independent boutiques across the country and around the world.

Small woodworking studio who makes our letterpressed recipe boxes and makes the calendar hangers.

  • Glassware factory

This company helps us by printing our artwork on the custom small batch glassware that we sell.

We thank you for shopping with us!

Can I pay for custom letterpress artwork?
Letterpress is a very old, very cumbersome technique. What makes it so cool is what also makes it hard to create custom items. For each print or design you see here, we first design a plate for the design that costs roughly $60. We then spend approximately 3 hours setting the press up, mixing the ink, printing, and then cleaning the plates. For this reason, we normally print between 100 and 400 of our designs at a time. Imagine if we did all that work for one print! We'd be broke, and more importantly, we'd never have time to create more awesome original artwork for you!

Can you customize any of your prints or cards?
All of our prints and cards are available only in the colors and size shown on the photographs in each of the listing. We realize it’s disappointing that we can’t customize these in all of the many ways (other sizes, other colors, other phrases/sayings) we get requests for, but we have to have time to design and print more great drawings we (and you) love.

Payment
Please make an effort to pay immediately, or contact us if you're having a problem with PayPal. If you place an order without payment, we have to pay Etsy fees for something that didn't sell.

We'll do everything we can, but if payment hasn't gone through in 3 days, we reserve the right to cancel your order. Of course, if you've contacted us we will be happy to work with you.
Shipping
--We try to ship the next day whenever possible but most shipments are within two to three days.
--PLEASE make sure you have the same address in Etsy and in PayPal. We will always default to the PayPal address, and can't be responsible if that is not correct.
Refunds and Exchanges
Letterpress is a handmade process, and no two items are exactly alike. There will be minor differences in color, etc due to computer monitors and photography, but we promise to deliver a lovely, letterpressed item free from smudges or other damage.

If you do happen to receive an item with a minor problem, we ask you to contact us with a photo of the problem. In most cases, we'll just send you a replacement for a damaged, but we may ask you to return the item at your shipping cost.

If you are truly unhappy with your purchase and would like to return it, we will refund you the cost of the item only, not the shipping, and you will need to pay to ship it back to us. First class mail is inexpensive and completely fine.

Please let us know that you're sending a return, and we will refund your money when we have it back and see that the item is undamaged and complete.
