On Etsy since 2017

From doodles to stickers and beyond.

Ever since forever, I could be found cross-legged on the floor doodling.

These days I've traded in my crayons for more refined tools... sometimes carving knives, sometimes glass, sometimes an iPencil, sometimes ink and a stamp. You never know. I just love creating. Nothing feels impossible in the world of art, and that's the sort of freedom I've needed in adulthood: lines, colors, mindfulness, expression and the making-it-up-as-I-go-along approach.

But how does one go from creating art to creating art to sell? My art soon became about making gifts for people. In my elementary school days, kids would ask me to draw things for them during school—mostly their names in bubble letters. As I got older, I would create cards, paintings and other art for the special people in my life: teachers, neighbors, friends, family—you name it. The next step was some gallery shows and selling my paintings (by word of mouth). Soon, though, people were asking to buy my art and cards for their people.

As much as I loved the idea of it, opening an online store seemed so out of my league. Selling my art online seemed so vulnerable and risky. What if they don't like my stuff? What if I never sell anything? What if I lose a bunch of money? What if I get bad reviews? Honestly, I'm still afraid of these things. Gulp.

But here I am. Dreaming up ideas and helping people to find the perfect gift for their friends and family. It's such an honor! My partner calls me Santa Claus... and you know, I have to say, I like that. He is sort of the spirit I like to embody (minus the big belly and beard).

I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love... so thank you for all of your support!

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging

As for individual packaging, I like to experiment with new pens and doodles (especially for magnets), so those may vary. If you have something special in mind, just ask! I will send a gift note, if you'd like.

For green reasons, I often recycle/reuse boxes (from online orders and the like), as long as they are in good condition and not compromised in integrity. Let me know if you'd like something spiffy.
