Announcement   1up Beads creates custom video game and geek inspired pieces from plastic fuse beads. These fuse beads may seem like a kids toy, but are perfect for recreating retro game sprites and art. We not only provide small items such as keyrings and magnets, but will also take on commissions for larger or unique pieces. Hang them on your wall, stand them on your desk, display them on a shelf; 1up Beads pieces look great whatever you decide to do with them.

I've had some great items from 1up beads in the past, but this particular custom order has to be my favourite so far. Items are always dispatched fast and arrive fast. Brilliant!

About

Bead art for gamers and geeks of all ages

My name is James, and I am the guy behind 1up Beads.

1up Beads started as a hobby. I used to recreate video game sprites in the popular sandbox game Minecraft. I did so on a server, so anyone could visit my 'Pixel Patch' in-game and see my work. However, the server didn't stay up and my work was lost. I decided to look for a physical way of keeping up this little hobby.

When out shopping with the family, I saw that a particular store had a special offer on kids craft sets, including a Hama beads set. I remembered seeing online, several people who made video game sprites out of fuse beads. So I decided to give it a go.

Originally, I had no intention of selling my creations, even despite encouragement from friends. However, I soon realised that these creations take up room. And it costs money to buy more beads. So I decided to start selling bead art online, and using all the profits to buy more beads so I can sustain my hobby.

Feel free to contact me to request a custom order, and visit my Facebook page to see more examples of my work. Thank you.
