Beautiful and sturdy. I love drinking my morning espresso out of it.

Wonderful! I love the Celadon green glaze. I have a larger size of this but will size is also useful to have. What great work!

This is so lovely and practical. The glaze is classic and definitely eye candy. Drink up and enjoy!

About

Thoughtful Wares for a Thoughtful Home

Central to my work is the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Everything in our world is built of smaller pieces: not just the tangible objects in our lives, but the experiences, relationships, and the ideas that make us who we are.

I explore this idea in my finished work, as well as in the process I use to create the work. All of my wares are composed of smaller parts that are cast in handmade molds, and then altered, textured, and assembled to form part of a larger sculptural or functional form. All of my hand-thrown pieces are made on a potter’s wheel, and are part of a larger body of work centered on a common aesthetic.

I studied ceramics at Syracuse University and received an M.F.A. from Ohio University. I completed residencies at the Carbondale Clay Center, the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Millersville University, and the Red Lodge Clay Center.

Thank you for shopping at 20th Avenue Studios. All of the work listed here is designed and created by me at my Brooklyn, New York studio. I make both hand-thrown work as well as cast work, which is produced by pouring slip-cast clay into molds I have created, and then hand-assembling the parts into a greater whole.
