    About ChelseaHopkinsAllan

    Sales 71
    On Etsy since 2010

    I paint modern nature/science/psychology inspired watercolour & mixed-media paintings.

I feel very privileged to have studied and worked as an environmental scientist and love to share amazing insights gained from these experiences. My paintings may look imaginary or childlike, but they are based on real life items, such as cells or the scales on butterfly wings.

Other sources of inspiration are the Australian landscape, contemporary Australian Aboriginal art, environmental science, the effect of colour, mandalas (sacred circular symbols), mindfulness/psychology, traditional textiles and shapes and patterns in nature.

I am based in Albany, Western Australia. That is a town 5 hours south of Perth, on the very bottom tip of the west coast of Australia!!!! Very beautiful and very windy. I paint in my backyard shed with my two hilarious dogs and a bunch of pot-plants!

    Thanks for visiting!

Please choose your artwork carefully as I do not generally offer refunds or exchanges (due to the nature of the product it is hard to do so without it being damaged). If you need more information or have additional inquiries please contact me so I can provide you with more assistance so you can be confident in your purchase. However that being said I really want you to love your artwork and be truly delighted! If for some reason you are not satisfied with the art that you receive, please let me know within 14 days of receiving your artwork and I will do my best to assist you.
Paypal or Credit/Debit cards is preferred, thank you! :)
I ship using Australia Post. I use the Parcel Post for within Australia and I use Airmail for international orders. For very small artworks I post them as large 'letters' in a rigid A4 mailer to keep postage costs down for you on these smaller pieces. If you would like your parcel to be sent via Express Post, please contact me and I will do my best to arrange this. If you want to check out Australia Post this is the website:

Orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days, as I go to the post office once per week. I try to get your artwork in the mail as soon as possible for you! If you need your artwork sooner please let me know and I will do my best to arrange this! For Custom Orders (Painting Commissions) I will let you know when I can have it completed and in the post to you in the item description and/or in our email correspondance.

Parcels posted within Australia will take 2 to 5 business days to reach you (it depends on where it is going within Australia) using the domestic Parcel Post or letter post.

Parcels travelling overseas take approximately 10 business days to arrive, though I have found it can take up to 15 business days to reach the United States on a few occasions as the quoted times are averages.

*** If you do not receive your artwork in the expected time frames please let me know so I can make inquiries and do my best to make sure that it reaches you safely!!! ***

Postage cover is an additional option to be purchased to cover the cost and postage cost of your item should it go missing or damaged. Australia Post is a very reliable service but these things can happen! I have opted to make this optional as I realize that postage costs within and from Australia can be very high as is, without adding these additional services which you may or may not want. Please contact me if you would like to purchase this additional cover.

Please make any necessary inquiries in relation to customs and any related customs fees yourself if you feel that this could be a concern for your order. If there are any special considerations to take into account please let me know and I will always do my best to assist you.

I package your artwork very carefully to do my utmost to ensure that it reaches you safely. Larger artworks will come rolled in a heavy-duty cardboard tube and wrapped in acid-free paper. Smaller artworks I send flat in a rigid, flat cardboard mailer and protected within an acid free plastic slip.

(If it looks like the packaging has been tampered with or damaged, please photograph the packaging prior to unwrapping for insurance purposes. I package your artwork very carefully so it should be reaching you in perfect condition!)

*** It is always a good idea to double check the postage address that I receive for your order!!! Please make sure that I will be posting your artwork to your correct address. ***

If you have any additional questions, please contact me.
