Our Story
Hi, I am Nina, the owner of 282 Design Studio and I have been fascinated with all aspects of design since I was a little girl. In 2018/2019 I started creating handcrafted jewelry as a creative outlet, because my 9-5 job was seriously lacking in the creativity department. I used the jewelry and decor that I made as gifts for friends, family, and neighbors and it was them that said I should open a shop and I am so glad I listened. The business has grown a lot since then, especially with the addition of a laser engraver I am now able to create even more custom jewelry, home decor and gifts.
Based in Fletcher, NC (just outside of Asheville) I specialize in handcrafted jewelry, engraved cutting boards, custom tumblers, hats, personalized decor and more. Every item in my shop is thoughtfully designed, using premium materials to ensure beauty and durability.
My inspiration comes from a love of creating personalized and unique gifts that make people smile. I absolutely love creating new products by collaborating with customers to bring their ideas to life- whether it's for a wedding, anniversary, housewarming, holiday, client appreciation, or just because.
When I am not creating, you will find me spending time with my husband, son, and our two dogs. I also enjoy traveling and playing pickleball.
