Personally, I feel that a woman is beautiful if she has self confidence. She knows who she is and owns it. That's where jewelry comes in. To wear a pretty piece of jewelry, and own it not only speaks of self confidence, but that you have great taste as well.

The wonderful thing about Jewelry is that it always fits. It lights up your face, your spirit and your outfit. You can't go wrong with a piece of Gemstone Jewelry. It never goes out of style.

Gemstones have been a source of fascination for centuries. Partially, this is because of the many remarkable effects produced by their interaction with light. The individual properties of gemstones contribute to the rarity, durability and beauty of the stone; making it both desirable and valuable.

In ancient times, gemstones were the sole property of kings and noblemen. Gemstones have been used to adorn weapons of war, scepters and crowns. There is extensive gemstone meaning and folklore - these beautiful little rocks and minerals have been used for everything from healing to good luck amulets.

Gemstones are undeniably beautiful, both in their raw uncut form and in all their polished glory. Perhaps this is because on some level they help us to feel more in touch with nature. In this day and age of plastic and neon it's comforting to be able to wear something that was created by nature.

Once again I feel blessed by the beauty and the knowledge that the artist has placed in this piece. They are always unique! I love the meaning and folklore, as well as the sheer amazing wealth of beauty that God has created in the smallest pieces of our world. A gentle but lovely reminder that God is in everything!

Amazing!!! Fun!!! This necklace has it all! It is exquisite! Most people would jump at the sight of a spider, but if you are blessed enough to see a spider's web fresh in the sunlight and morning dew, you will appreciate the sayings "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" or "Beauty is more than skin deep"! Spiders are proof that even the creepiest of God's creatures can have amazing talent! This is one of my new favorite pieces from this artist's talented hands!

About

Once a Crafter.....always a Crafter

I began to craft things when I was quite young. I made dresses for my Barbies. I cut and colored their hair. I started painting the walls of my bedroom shortly after that. My mother encouraged my creativity. I took up basket weaving. I loved making such beautiful things out of raw material. Quit when I began to get rashes on my hands from always being in water. I created door mats. I weaved cloth through the holes in the mats to spell "WELCOME" or I would create a house with trees. I sold a lot of them to neighbors. I would buy pots and bird houses for the back yard and paint flowers or vines on them. I made stepping stones with broken plates. I've made lotions, creams, oils and soaps. After the birth of my three children, they did a lot of coloring with fabric crayons. I think there was a time when my husband did not own a handkerchief or a white tee shirt without a picture on them. Fun times. Are my Children crafty? Yes they are. My daughter still does the fabric crayons on "onesies", gifts for her friends with children. My oldest son own a beer and wine bar in San Francisco and is always painting or redecorating something. My youngest son is the most creative. He paints, sculpts, sews, plants, and builds things. He has made grand black jack tables, and built his own bar. So, I believe that once crafting gets into your blood, there is no way to get rid of the addiction.

I enjoy working with raw gemstones. It's the energy in the stone itself that I love. My favorite necklaces to make are the whimsical ones. I like the look of old, religious necklaces. Carved stones are just wonders to me. They have their own energy.
