Abbiamo fondato 2 Santos PR perché le magliette che desideravamo non esistevano. Non un'altra bandiera stampata su cotone, ma qualcosa che sappia distinguere tra una garita e una torre di guardia, tra un Boriken e un opuscolo.
La nostra bandiera è stata disegnata nel 1895 da portoricani residenti a New York che non potevano tornare in patria. È stata la bandiera della diaspora fin dal primo punto. Oggi siamo più numerosi di loro a vivere negli Stati Uniti che sull'isola, ed è per loro che la creiamo: per coloro che sono cresciuti qui e per coloro che sono cresciuti sentendo parlare di questo luogo.
Selezioniamo personalmente ogni singolo design presente in questo negozio, con licenza per uso commerciale, e li scegliamo con la stessa cura con cui sceglieremmo cosa indossare. El coqui. Il sole Taino. El 787. La bandera. Se non ha un significato per noi, non entra nel negozio.
Tutto è stampato su Comfort Colors 1717, la t-shirt pesante che diventa più morbida a ogni lavaggio, realizzata su ordinazione e spedita dagli Stati Uniti. Ogni ordine include un piccolo omaggio da parte nostra.

We started 2 Santos PR because the shirts we wanted didn't exist. Not another flag printed on cotton, but something that knows the difference between a garita and a guard tower, between Boriken and a brochure.
Our flag was designed in 1895 by Puerto Ricans in New York who couldn't go home. It has been a diaspora flag since the first stitch. Today there are more of us living in the States than on the island, and that is who we make this for: the ones who grew up here, and the ones who grew up hearing about here.
We curate every design in this shop ourselves, licensed for commercial use, and we choose them the way we would choose what to wear. El coqui. The Taino sun. El 787. La bandera. If it does not mean something to us, it does not go in the shop.
Everything is printed on Comfort Colors 1717, the heavyweight tee that gets softer every wash, made to order and shipped from the US. Every order goes out with a little something from us inside.
