Absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend!
We have a passion for seeing what mother nature offers and get excited when others like what we do.
In 2003 we made a radical lifestyle change, selling our house and becoming fulltime RVers. We work part of the year to be able to take the rest of the year off doing what we love- traveling and spending more time outdoors hiking, biking..... Richard, AKA Woodhunter #1 has built 2 of our previous houses and is a welder/fabricator by trade. Donna, AKA Woodhunter #2 is a critical care RN. We fell into woodworking while off one summer helping a friend build a handmade railing for his A-frame. That got us fascinated with wood and trees and what mother nature has to offer to bring the outdoors in.
Half the fun is in the looking and we spend alot of time just looking at trees, both live and dead although we use only dead wood for our creations. Space constraints in a RV limit the size of our shop but most of our time is spent out west so much of our work is done outside and with solar power.
We love wood with character. Wood with straight grain and no knots is boring to us,so our projects will have knots, will be twisted and might even have gouge marks from elk,and are often recovered from areas that went through a forest fire. We are constantly looking at and for new woods to work with and will be doing more traveling to find them.
As of 2014, 2woodhunters have retired from our careers, so we spend a little more time goofing off while here in the Colorado mountains and could be away on short trip when you place your order. Please note we have a tentative shipping time of 3 to 5 days, but if we are on our property we usually ship within 2 days.

Most of the time it is a joint effort. Woodhunter #1 is more skilled with the tools but we seek out the wood together , work together to produce what nature reveals and then place on ETSY for a new home.
Finally, we have a passion for wood and love what we do but we want you the buyer to be delighted with your purchase. We hope that we have tried to make shopping with us straight forward and simple with the following policies. Please don't hesitate to convo us with any questions or concerns at any point in the process.

Additional policies and FAQs
For our urns that are rounded interiors and not right angled corners we measure capacity in cups, using a baggy and sugar. Internet industry resources give 0.7 cups as equal to 10 c.i. or 10 lbs., 1.5 cups equals 20 #'s, 2 cups equal to 30 lbs and so on.
Somewhat easier is to use the formula of 14.4 #''s per each cup of cremains or divide the weight by 14.4 to get the # of cups needed. For example, 144 #'s would need roughly 10 cups capacity for an urn if all of the cremains are to placed in the urn; 29 #'s would need 2cups capacity.
However there are many variables that can change this such as skeletal size, how long the cremains are in the cremation chamber, type of cremation and amount of processing done to list a few. It is best to have the dimensions of your cremains package before ordering your urn. We recommend if you plan to keep all of the cremains that you talk with the crematorium or your vet to obtain an accurate sizing of cremains.
We will be happy to work with you in picking out this important memorial keepsake but we cannot be held responsible for the size urn purchased; the customer has final responsibility to choose the proper size needed. Any piece that has had a requested inscription placed cannot be returned.
