Frequently asked questions
How can I qualify for free shipping?

For purchases totaling $75.00 or over, please use the coupon code FREESHIP75.

Can you make my mask with different color back panels or even diferent patterns that I have in mind?

Yes. It may take longer to fulfill. Whether you want a different color back panel for your masks, or want to find out if I can get you a specific pattern, just ask.

Do you make children's masks?

Yes. Please contact me with any special orders for quick fulfillment.

Do you take commissions?

Yes. But it depends upon the skill level of the project required. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Why are many of your masks pleated?

Pleats structurally form a breathing chamber when the face mask is placed upon a user's face. Many people find this to be more comfortable than a contoured mask.

"Masks with pleats or folds are also a good choice: The folds expand so that you have more air flowing through the fabric itself instead of leaking out through gaps at the sides of the mask. Masks with a flat front design are less effective." https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/07/01/880621610/a-users-guide-to-masks-what-s-best-at-protecting-others-and-yourself

I am also creating a new line — still with felted filters — that are more fitted (using darts) but still give you plenty of breathing room.

What do you get for an $18-$20 mask?

My masks are carefully constructed, one at a time. I reinforce all my items with back-stitching (amazingly, many do NOT). I double-stitch my seams because I want to make sure that the elastic and the cotton construction will hold up. I use quality designer fabrics and fabulous out-of-print patterns that exhibit my very specific design sensibility. You will not find my combination of quality and selection anywhere else. More importantly, these masks are meant to last.

Will you be creating masks with nose strips for those of us who wear glasses?

Yes. That's next on my list. Once I perfect it, they will be added to the store.
