About

Hatching 2D ideas into a 3D world. 3D printing egg is a division of KIttrell Entertainment Group

3D Printing Egg is a 3D printing hub located in Hendersonville, TN. Owner Jason Kittrell opened this shop as an off shoot of his web design business, SFXSI Design.

The idea for the shop stemmed from Jason's on-going work in the haunted house community. Jason worked as a designer and sculptor for some of the top rated haunted attractions in the Nashville area. However, after developing carpal tunnel syndrome, it became increasingly difficult for him to sculpt in clay. Turning to the digital world for advice, he came upon digital modelling and design tools. These tools allowed him to sculpt in digital clay, but still there was very little opportunity to bring those objects trapped in the digital world to life.

After hearing about 3D printers, Jason made a purchase and began sending digital files found online to the printer. After taking some wares to local swap meets and comic conventions, the idea of bringing the products to a much greater audience was born. Etsy just made the most sense for this leap forward and has been the best choice made.

Frequently asked questions
I got the Frankenstein Light Swithc the other day from your shop. However, the piece that goes on the light toggle (the nub) won't stay on cause the toggle is too skinny. How can I fix this?

There are a couple of ways to fix this problem. The first, and easiest, would be to use a hair dryer to heat the nub up for a few seconds. The plastic we use is reactive to heat, and becomes softer the hotter it gets. You could then squeeze the nub down on the toggle, making a perfect fit. Another option is to use the sticky gel that comes with the Command wall hangers, available at Walmart and other retailers to attach the nub to the toggle. You may also send me the dimensions (in mm) of your toggle and I can do a custom order for you (there is a fee for this service).
As with anything, if the item is within the return window, I will also accept a return. My goal is to make you happy with my store!!

Custom and personalized orders

This is a yes and no answer. I do accept them through my website (https://3dprintingegg.com) as well as here on Etsy. However, depending on the time of year, I may not be able to do them quickly.
As I am not a 3d modeler, I do require that you provide me with the files to print. The model must be in either STL or OBJ format. If the object is larger than my printing capacity, the model will have to be broken down into smaller pieces and glued back together. I will show you the cuts that will have to be made prior to starting the order.
I do sign Non-Disclosure Agreements and destroy any and all materials received once the job is completed or the service is declined. This si to protect your Intellectual Property.
