5 out of 5 starsI am already in love with my sweatshirt, and I only just received it and put it on ♡ I was already in love with what it stands for as well as the artistic presentation of that message in the form of the design on this beautiful shirt. And it fits like it was made for me! I am pleased and highly recommend this shop ♡

About 3OmsBatikBoutique
Batik designs inspired by yoga, nature & music...connection.
I have always had an affinity for the creative and creative people. Although I have attempted and not been very good at several different creative projects, I found that I love creating batik and love seeing how it turns out.
I started playing around with batik in the summer of 2014 and realized that my clothing was something that people were enjoying and that I could sell. I was teaching yoga full time all around Cleveland and many of my first batik customers were my yoga students. As time went on, I finally opened the Etsy shop, so as to have a place for people to have access from anywhere! It really makes things easier.
The process: It really takes some time! I start by making a template design and using that for consistency on my clothing. I use a fabric marker to draw the design on a piece of clothing. Then, I paint hot wax onto the clothing article waiting to create the dye resist. Once that dries, it goes into a soda ash wash before getting dyed, either straight up in a tub dye or into a tie-dye. I am admittedly not a strict tie-dyer, so the designs are definitely experimental. I feel like that makes it more fun though!
After dying, I iron the wax out at this point. One day I hope to have a large enough operation to be able to boil the wax out and reuse it. But gotta do what I can right now. After the wax is out, I wash and dry the item, so that all the dye is set and won't run on you!
Because of my process, each item is hand painted and dyed by me and is one of a kind! I also believe in giving back, so $1 from each sale goes to charities that support human rights, animal welfare and the environment.
My husband and I have recently relocated to Oregon! I am looking forward to using the inspirational views and energy here to create some new designs.
Thanks for visiting the shop! Hope you enjoy my work!

Owner, Artist, Designer
I have always loved batik and decided to start teaching myself the craft in the summer of 2014. It has been such a fun outlet for me creatively. My art is inspired by yoga, and other ethereal ideas, nature, music and just plain connection.
