The artisan did beautiful work in the requested specialty material. I had a deadline to meet, and she got the hats finished and shipped in an expedited fashion. Her communication skills were great, and she was helpful in every way during the fabrication and shipping process. I could not recommend this vendor more highly.
"In a ball of yarn is the potential to make a dream that you have come true" - Melanie Falick
I love yarn. This comes as a surprise to no one. Lovely threads of wool, silk, cotton, bamboo, alpaca. It doesn't matter. Wound into squishy skeins. Woven into fabric and batting. The colors, the luster and sheen. A favorite past time of mine is letting my hands wander over the bundles of yarn at my local yarn store. Yarn, fabrics, fiber - it has to be felt, cuddled, petted, coaxed. The yarns will tell you what they want to be: socks, a baby sweater, a hat to keep a loved one warm. You just have to listen, with your heart and your hands.
I have been crafting and making things for as long as I can remember. My mother was always sewing our clothes or knitting us sweaters and mittens when I was growing up. It made for an environment where working with your hands was encouraged, fun, and appreciated.
I believe all babies should be wrapped in hand-knits. I believe blankets and throws are best when quilted and pieced by hand (and generous use of a sewing machine). I believe hats and scarves are warmest when they are imbued with love. All the items in my shop are items I would create and wear for myself or loved ones. I only use high-quality materials, because that's what I would want on my skin.
I opened this shop because of my love of yarn, fiber and cats. My husband and I currently live with three rescue kitties, Spooky, Ripley, and Jonesy. I named my business 3 Cats Studio because of them. My husband jokes that it's insurance against me adopting a fourth cat because we'd have to rename the business.
I am happy to take custom orders. Message me to talk about your ideas and needs.
