About

For Love of the Clay

In September of 2012, three girls decided it was about time to show the world all the hard work that's been going on in the studio. Each girl brought a unique and different perspective on pottery, hand-buliding and design. Not only was creativity blooming in the mists, but friendship as well. These three girls built a mutual appreciation of the love of creating something meaningful for others to enjoy. Thus, 3 Girls and a Kiln was born.

Using earthenware clay along with colorful and bold glazes, 3 Girls and a Kiln strives to make lovable ceramics for your living space. We offer items for the kitchen, office, living and bed rooms. We want our pieces to help celebrate everything from special occasions to everyday living. Our wish is for every piece we make to bring a smile to your face.

We are happy to bring you beautiful, quality ceramics, at an affordable price. It has always been our goal to see our final pieces in your home, and to know each piece brings you a little piece of joy. We hope you enjoy having our pieces, as we did making them.

If you are buying from outside the Cayman Islands please note that there is a slight possibility that your own country may charge a "customs duty" on the item you purchase. In my experience, this very rarely happens. The cost of any duties or taxes your country charges is the buyers responsibility. When we ship to addresses outside Cayman, we fill out a customs form which states the value of the contents of the parcel. Altering this amount on a customs declaration form is illegal.
Shipping
For domestic orders (Grand Cayman):

There is no need to ship anything on this small island we live on. We will be happy to meet you at a pre-designated location to deliver your order. Please specify that you live in Grand Cayman when placing your order (in the notes to seller box).

For domestic orders (Cayman Brac, Little Cayman):

We use the Cayman Islands Postal Service and items should arrive to you 1-3 days after they have been mailed from Grand Cayman.

For international orders (USA, Canada, UK):

International packages are shipped using Parcel Post for items 4 - 22 pounds or Airmail for items less than 2 pounds. Please allow 7-10 days for the USA, 9-14 days for Canada and 11-14 days for the United Kingdom.

Express Mail Service:
CIPS offers express mail service (EMS) for items weighing under 22 pounds. They estimate the following time for delivery:
USA and Canada: 3-7 days
Europe: 5+ days.
Cost on EMS will depend on destination and weight of package. If you are interested in EMS, please contact 3 Girls and a Kiln and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.

You are responsible for all duty, customs, or any other charges imposed by your country above and beyond the CIPS (Cayman Islands Postal Service) postal charges that you already paid. These may be due when you pick up your package.

We will do our best to check on any restrictions of what can be shipped before we send out a package. If for some reason your purchase can not legally be sent to you, we will refund your money.

Charges for international mail can be hard to estimate and we will try our best to get your items to you the fastest time available.
