Like many modern quilters, my first encounter with quilting came when I was expecting my first child in 2011. Since then, I have been trying to find my own voice through this textile artform. Quilting has become the medium through which I can explore my interests in material, geometry and place. My training in architecture has allowed me to understand design process from a variety of approaches. My training in life, mostly by my two young boys, has taught me about the beauty in mess.
3rd Story Workshop is a tiny sanctuary where I feel the freedom to try new techniques, play with new materials, and think with a clear head.
