The Art of Hand-lettering

I opened my shop, when I fell in love with addressing my own wedding envelopes. Most people cringe when it comes to addressing, but I love it. I am happy to call myself a calligrapher, so I can do what I love.

I use my own lettering for most of my handwritten items. I also like to sketch and design fonts in my sketchbook or my font app. There are so many wonderful fonts in the world, but I want to have original letters for my designs.

I decided to use the U.S. President names for my different styles I create. I live on a presidential street in Chicago, so I walk, run and drive on Madison, Monroe and Roosevelt daily.

Additional policies and FAQs

ENVELOPE ADDRESSING
Please provide me with 15% extra envelopes for calligraphy orders. We are human, so I will redo all errors on my part and also will redo up to 3 errors of clients. I keep extra envelopes from orders for error redos, or added guests. When all is well, then I will send the extra envelopes back to you.

Return Addressing is recommended for the front of every envelope for USPS. Computer reads the card on both sides and can deliver your envelope incorrectly. If sender would like to use the back side for the return address. 5th Floor Designs will not be responsible for any lost or returned envelopes
