The cards are so genuine and sincere. Perfect to give when "get well soon" just isn't enough. I will definetly buy again!

Love the cards and the idea behind them! I sent one to my grandma battling cancer and she loved the photo and corny jokes. I will definitely buy again!

Incredible shop, incredible owner. Her sense of personalization is felt through her communications. The cards are perfect to send when you simply can't find the words to say. I highly recommend!

About

The Story Behind Sixty Seconds of Sunshine

I am not a professional photographer or wordsmith. I am an ICU nurse, wife, and mother of four sons who enjoys taking pictures of nature. In my twenty years at the bedside of countless cardiac and pulmonary patients, I have seen suffering that can’t be fixed. I have also witnessed moments of grace when patients are distracted with something funny or interesting.

When my Aunt Pat was battling terminal breast cancer several years ago, I couldn’t find the right card to send her. I wanted her to know she was loved and thought of often. I searched many stores for the right card to send and I came home empty-handed. Because of her diagnosis, “Get Well” cards were not appropriate and trying to fill a beautiful blank card was overwhelming. Since she was always fond of a good random trivia fact and a silly joke, I decided out of desperation to make my own cards. She enjoyed the cards and looked forward to receiving them. The concept of Sixty Seconds of Sunshine was born.

Sending a Sixty Seconds of Sunshine card allows you to briefly connect with someone you care about who is battling, enduring, grieving or just feeling completely alone. The cards won’t change a situation but they may bring a minute of light into a person’s world that too often feels dark and hopeless.

Thank you for stopping by and checking us out. Even if you won’t be purchasing cards, I encourage you to reach out to that person in your life who could use a minute of sunshine right now.

Warmest Regards,
Brigid
