About 680andCo

Raid our closet and find your new favorite.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am a designer. I used to work for a big company. It started with creative work, but I kept accepting more responsibilities and promotions until I mostly just managed people, wrote reports and tried to avoid corporate politics. Except for my team, no one seemed to know what I did, or why. It was a total downer.

Every morning, a good friend and co-worker, called to chat. We compared horror stories and tried to figure out how to make it better. But it’s really impossible to figure out why corporations reward mediocrity, and promote people who have no business managing others. Bold, smart and funny, neither of us really belonged in a place that only valued conformity, toeing the line, and keeping your mouth shut.

We’d make jokes, and say, “That should be a t-shirt!” Finally we decided to really make t-shirts. She was the sales mastermind, and I had total creative freedom, something seriously lacking in my day-to-day existence.

You should never ask a woman her age, but I will divulge that I was born in 1968, and she was born in 1980. Do not do the math. The point is, that 68-80 became 680, and Six Eighty & Co. was born. We both came up with ideas and when I had time I’d make a t-shirt. I had no idea at the time that our little side gig would become the tiny spark of joy in my workweek.

Eventually, my co-founder and co-conspirator moved on to a new job with a different company and my own position was eliminated. My husband told me, “Maybe this is a good thing. You were so unhappy, and you never would have left.” He was right.

Our clothing & accessories are designed to inspire, encourage or just make you smile. Ideas come from books, to movies or TV shows where I fell in love with the characters. I believe that magic is afoot in the world, much like strange things are afoot at the Circle K. If you got that movie reference, then you’ll also guess that I’m a child of the 80s and fan of pop culture. A bit of a gypsy, I have lived in four states and two countries, and inspiration also comes from my travels and my family.

I am lucky to have a circle of friends who accept and love you for who you are, encourage you to be your best, but call you on your bullshit. They know I would do the same for them. Six Eighty & Co. products are true to this vibe, and I’d lend them anything in my closet for their next daring adventure.

So raid our closet, and find your new favorite. We hope you enjoy our products as much as I enjoy creating them.

XOXO

A palm reader once told Shannon that she had five creative gifts. With a quirky sense of humor and a love of 80's slang, she's using those gifts to make apparel & accessories we hope you'll love.

  • Brandy

    Co-Founder

At our "other job," Brandy was known as Tenacious B. She's a go-getter and hilariously funny. Southern born, her y'all is authentic, and her lovely southern accent is her trademark. She's moved on to new things, but she's with us behind the scenes.

Frequently asked questions

Refunds

Everything we offer is printed on demand, right when you order it. For this reason, we do not offer refunds. If you have ordered the wrong size, we do offer exchange or store credit. Please follow instructions above for these two options.

Please double check your order before completing it. Many shirts offer size notes, and please review our size guides.

Shipping

We do not have a personal relationship with UPS or USPS.

It’s not like we can text them and ask what’s up with your package or whether they are slow today because they overslept and there was a huge line at the coffee place. Aside from tracking info, once your package is shipped we have no control over the route or time it takes to be delivered. Our items usually arrive quickly without any issues, but sometimes they wind up in Kalamazoo. We get as frustrated by this as you do.

We're not responsible for a package where tracking shows it has been delivered but has been presumably stolen from a mailbox or doorstep.

Please make sure the address you provide is correct. We cannot replace merchandise that was shipped to the wrong address.

International Shipping

We ship internationally to almost everywhere in the world.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SHIPPING COST IS FOR PACKAGE ALONE. Packages may be subject to customs or duties upon arrival in country. Most international packages will be sent via First Class International Mail which does not include tracking or delivery confirmation. Shipping times vary depending on location, time of year and local postal service. On average, packages should arrive in 3-5 weeks. International packages may be subject to customs, duties or other fees that are calculated by country.

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ANY AND ALL CUSTOMS DUTIES AND FEES. International packages may be delayed by customs; unfortunately Six Eighty & Co. has no control over this.
