This kit made it easy for me to celebrate Kwaanza this year. it was important for me, even though I have no children, to acknowledge the struggles of those who in 2020 fought for justice, peace, equity, and life. I wanted to honor the memory of my ancestors and those who were lost in 2029 every night by lighting the candles, singing, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," eating a meal my mama would have prepared, and reading African American Literature. This kit allowed me to do that with pride and joy. The kit allowed me the serenity to honor traditions without having to search a pandemic infested world that's not sensitive to providing for the traditions, customs, or comforts of Minorities. I had everything I needed -- including a joyful and beautiful setup to welcome my ancestors! Thank you.
