Announcement    Do you believe in miracles?
A couple of days ago, one lady approached me asking if I could make her granddaughter a fairy coat. And she told me how much she could pay for it. I agreed, I don’t know why even it was lower than I was hoping for. My sales are far from the fountain of abundance because I had to spend most of my time on the house move and all summer I could not look after my passion in the way I wanted to. This is the result. What to do....
But there is this little girl, and this girl’s dream is to meet a fairy one day. She loves stories about the fairy, and how she helps the farmers to handle bad storms, how she makes upset children smile if they fall over, or she magically helps a big mummy bear to cross the road with her baby and makes sure there are no cars....you know, these little things that help others. This little girl loves all these stories and she hopes to meet this fairy one day.
But she doesn’t realize that this fairy is her. This little girl has this sparkle in her heart, smiling, laughing every day, and hoping that the sparkle will be brighter with the age. All she needs to do is smile and twirl! And everything will come together. Just like MAGIC.
Do you believe in miracles? I do. If I don’t make this fairy coat for a little girl, who will? Maybe, she will love and cherish it so much that she will start appreciating all handmade things and will develop skills of her own and teach others? Maybe, the bright colours of the coat will help her to see all world around her in the same way, with all its brightness and beauty? I don’t know, maybe, she will learn how to create beautiful things in her own way one day too? At the end of the day, these little things make our world a better place, right?
With every sale in my shop, I am able to make more fairy coats for our little citizens of earth.
Sounds crazy? Maybe....
Do you believe in miracles? I do!

Upcycled with LOVE and our planet in mind

Olesya Lane is a founder of Slow Fashion Bus and her main mission is giving a second, more beautiful life to discarded fabrics and clothing by creating unique and durable garments. This is her way to share joy with others and promote textile waste reduction.

Olesya had her first upcycling project around 30 years ago – she took her dad’s t-shirt chopped it into pieces and made a top for herself. She loved working on it, and little did she know that this will become her passion later in life.

She spends ages sourcing pre-owned items from secound hand shops and vintage boutiques, looking for just the right items to make something new and beautiful for you to wear again.
