About

Slow But Steady

Crocheting wasn't always my passion, but I did love to make things with my hands. I have always loved being creative and creating things, as well as drawing.

My mother taught me to crochet and knit at a very young age. It was the only way she could get any time to finish her own projects because my younger sisters and I would constantly interrupt her and ask her what she was doing. She figured that by teaching us needlework that we might sit still for a while, something every mother loves, LOL.

I crocheted on and off while I was growing up but couldn't make more than a blanket or something flat. I slowly got better and learned how to read patterns and that's where my love for crochet started to blossom. In 2004, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I really wanted to share the love I felt for crocheted work with my baby by making her blankets, hats, and booties. Since then I have learned all that I could and started to create my own patterns. My kids have really been my inspiration in it all and I just love to create for them. If they don't love it then I wouldn't sell it. Their little hands inspire me to try new things and see what they like.

For as long as I could remember I had wanted to own my own business but hadn't found that one thing that I wanted to do. Time passed and I was searching the web for inspiration in amigurumi, crocheted dolls. I found a link to etsy on flickr and was amazed! I couldn't believe that I could sell my handmade creations online and immediately wanted to get started. I opened my shop in 2008 and was so pleased to be able to stay at home with my kids and still be able to help out with the bills while doing something I loved. It was a slow start, and still is a process, but I'm working on new ideas all the time.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome due to my passion for needlework and since have had to slow down with my favorite pastime. Though it can be painful at times, I don't think I could live without it. Giving up crochet entirely just isn't an option for me, hehe. I've learned to deal with it and often work through it to be able to do something that I love.

Additional policies and FAQs
:: CARING FOR YOUR PURCHASE ::
My work should last for many years with proper care. You can follow these steps to help make your crochet piece last as long as it can.
• For best results, spot wash items as needed with cold soapy water.
• For items that need a more thorough cleaning, wash in machine in cold water on the delicate cycle.
• Never wring or tug on crocheted items.
• For best results, always lay crochet items flat to dry.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to convo me or email me at twolittlecs [!at] gmaill.com. I will do my best to help you in any way I can!
