Who are we?

Who Are We? We are a group of costuming enthusiasts and general fun-lovers and shenanigans-committers who just really love making and wearing costumes and props from movies and video games. We are proud to have two founding members of the 501st Legion on board our staff. We are a part of Parjai Squad out of Pensacola Florida, hence the 850 in our name (that's our phone area code!). We travel for conventions, for costume appearances, and to indulge our desire for feasting and debauchery.

Our Policies. Have fun with YOUR armor. Make it look like the picture. That's all it takes to build a great costume. We build our kits for us first and others. We like to share the joy of the hobby of building armor with everyone. What you receive from us is exactly what we use plus some know how and a handy shop full of junk. If you don't feel like you can do one of our kits justice, get back in touch with us for a commission build or see your local 501 guys and ask about armor parties. They're loads of fun and a great way to meet your fellow troopers while building your armor. We sure like hosting armor parties here and certainly hope they're just as much fun for you!

Frequently asked questions

Are your items 501st acceptable?

All of our items are if you assemble them properly and follow our build guides and Facebook groups.

Can I get a custom size for your armor kit?

Our armor is vacuum formed and made one size. It is designed to be cut down to fit. Please review the individual item's sizing guide.

Do you sell parts?

Yes. Just let us know what you're looking for in detail. We break down every component involved and have to determine the actual cost before quoting.

I got a kit, but can't put it together. What can I do?

Get with your local 501st guys, send it back for us to build for you at our shop rates, we can recommend another contractor to assemble it, or sell it to someone who can.

We do not accept returns mostly because of freight costs.

I purchased an item that went on SALE, can I get the price difference back??

Any of our prices can be changed with no warning ahead of time. Due to the timetable of these sales, 850 Armor Works cannot offer any refunds for previously purchased items for the difference in what you paid and what is on sale. Sale items and discounts are only valid for what is purchased during the sale timetable. Sorry, we do not give any exceptions. This policy also applies to discount codes that we may offer.
If you decide to try to work around this policy by making a new purchase with the sale price and proceed to ask to cancel your original order we will not refund you for either order due to sale misuse. This policy also applies to discount codes that we may offer.

The paint job/finished work on my painted/full build order is messed up. Can I get a refund/replacement?

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products and the built one at a time process there may be some imperfections and variations from product to product and what is pictured in our store. We cannot offer a refund for products that have minor cosmetic paint issues, color inconsistencies, damage from shipping mishandling. If you believe that you have received a product that has a larger flaw or it was damaged in shipping please contact us at 850armorworks@gmail.com

I received my order and some of the parts of my costume are slightly different than in the pictures provided?

We do update parts as needed throughout the year. Some parts may not look like the pictures, but updates mean better! We do our best to edit pictures when we start producing new parts.

Can I cancel my order or pre-order?

We are unable to grant refunds for either orders or pre-orders after 24 hours of payment being received by us due to the cost of supplies and labor we allocate to your order after being placed. We will allow pre-orders to be turned into store credit if you change your mind about a product before we begin work on it.

I have decided I no longer want my pre-order, can I transfer these funds into another in stock product?

Yes, if you have decided that you no longer are willing to wait for your pre-order for any reason and would rather purchase another item, please send us an email at 850armorworks@gmail.com with your name and order number. We will send you a coupon code for the amount of your pre-order which you can use towards the purchase of an item in our store.
