High quality handmade alternative items that are only outshone by my unique and fabulous customers

I founded 8th Sin in 2009, when I was just 15 and had just discovered alternative and Japanese street fashion. I adored (and still do) everything cute and creepy but didn't have the money to buy clothing or accessories for the styles I loved. I started to make my own items; first for myself, then to sell to others via Etsy. I want to create cute and sassy items, macabre and quirky items, classic and timeless items - as long as it makes you happy, I want to make it.

In the past years I've expanded from basic jewellery making to clay work, sewing, leathercraft and more. More recently I've started dressmaking, which is a very exciting and large new world. In my ideal world, I want to make jewellery, accessories and clothing for all alternative and Japanese fashion styles; it might be ambitious but I don't think anyone should go without high quality, affordable alternative items and can support a living, breathing person and company too.

I have been creating items for over 6 years now and seek to use the highest quality materials and techniques to make my items high quality. I personally stress-test each finding and item to ensure it holds up to daily wear and tear. I find inspiration in keys, crowns, vintage & Victorian aesthetics, lace, religious art, occult imagery, insects, dead things and fashion street snaps of real people and real trends.

I love making jewellery, accessories & clothing because I love fashion. I fell in love with alternative fashion when I was 13 & started making items to suit my own tastes. I started a shop for likeminded individuals & am inspired by fashion everyday.

We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

- Etsy. We share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you our services and comply with our obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, it is only when absolutely necessary such as to the relevant postal and courier services needed to fulfil your order.

3) Object. You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
