I am in love with these new earrings! They are super simple and minimalist so they go with everything! I have worn them everyday since I received them about two weeks ago. They arrived very quickly and the packaging was adorable! I would definitely recommend making a purchase from Anna and FreckledFawns

About

THE DETAILS

I'm Anna. I am a 23 year old one woman show that owns, designs, and makes all the creations for FreckledFawns. When I am not making jewelry, I work part-time as a ABA Therapist for children with Autism, as well as go to school part-time for my bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies.

Ever since I was little, I've been caught making things from scratch. Whether it was a backpack made out of a cereal box, a playground for ants, or clothes for my Barbies made out of socks and tissues, I was always coming up with something to keep my little hands busy. I tried to experiment with as many materials as I could. My freshman year of college, I took a metalsmith class. After that, I was hooked. I worked my butt off and saved up money to buy all the tools and supplies to start metalsmithing, as well as buy beautiful gemstones that I always gawked at in mineral stores. I read multiple books, watched over 100 videos, and had many failed attempts before I got the hang of everything. With that being said, the majority of the techniques I use are self taught. Every day I am learning something new! I strive to make beautiful, wearable art that not just other people would wear, but I would also wear myself. My inspirations come from nature and science, and my work reflects that.

ABOUT ELECTROFORMING:

Electroforming is a electrical process that takes many hours, as well as days for preparation. It involves thick layers of microscopic pure copper 'nanoparticles' coating onto any conductive object submerged in a Copper Sulphate solution, copper particles are transferred from a purely copper 'anode' onto your desired object. This means when something unconducive is painted with a electrically conductive paint, that object can also be coated in thick pure copper, like gemstones and crystals or even bone and leaves - Basically its modern day alchemy!

Please be kind and patient with me. I am human, I make mistakes, and because I am self taught I am always learning! I am happy to work with you regarding any issues you may have, so please contact me before leaving any negative feedback.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Some of my pieces are made with copper. Typically, allergies to copper are uncommon in humans. Copper will often oxidize during prolonged contact with skin and its natural oils, which can cause skin in direct contact with a piece to turn green. All of my pieces have a thin layer of sealant to avoid this. This does not happen to everyone, but if it does, the greenish tinge can be removed by washing the skin with soap and water. If the greening is stubborn, a non-gel toothpaste will do the trick!

My pieces, in general, have not been designed for prolonged wear. I advise removing your jewelry before swimming, bathing, and sleeping.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All of my orders come in a gift box, ready for giving!

Custom and personalized orders

FreckledFawns is happy to make slight modifications to my designs (size, metal, stone, etc). I am not taking custom orders for entirely new designs at this time.
