Diving into Shining Things ....
I learned to love crafts in my grandmother's home at 9 Elizabeth Street, the origin of the shop name. She earned "butter and egg money" from elegant doilies and other frilly creations, and now I try to do the same with fashion accessories and shiny things. I discovered the joys of knitting in Montreal, Quebec, where my alter-ego- "Marie-Antoinknit" - emerged, inspired to make something wonderful for "tout le monde." I know I took the right path when customers send notes to tell me that the item they chose fit perfectly and flatters the way it was intended, or that their friends enjoyed the gifts from my shop.
There is magic that happens when a hat finds the head it fits or earrings find the outfit they were meant to complement. I hope you enjoy my shop, and that the magic finds you. If you're on Facebook, please stop by and Like my page to keep up with the latest offerings, special discounts and (of course) pictures of cute cats:

Sales to addresses within the state of Ohio are subject to sales tax based on your county rate.
Estimated delivery times vary depending on your location. I ship via USPS First-Class mail. If Priority USPS or FedEx delivery is required, please contact me to set that up and get a quote. Any international shipping duties, import taxes, etc., are the responsibility of the buyer.
Delivery confirmation is included in shipping costs and a tracking confirmation number will be provided at the time of shipment. For Canadian or International orders, that will be a Customs number, though I am unable to provide tracking once it leaves the US.
Protection for non-delivery is offered to buyers (and sellers) through PayPal and most credit cards. I also provide insurance against postal loss on sales over $50.
Please make sure the address shown on your order is current and correct. IF YOU ARE SHIPPING TO SOMEONE ELSE (e.g., a gift), let me know because I won't ship to a different person without your confirmation. This is for your protection. If you are SENDING A GIFT to someone else, please be sure to note that in the comments so I don't send them the invoice.

Additional policies and FAQs
If you see something in the shop that you like but prefer another color, I would be happy to try to make it if I can get the right fiber. Custom orders for different colors or sizes can be discussed via private message or convo. If you wish to place a custom order, I will work with you to arrange an agreeable turnaround & delivery time before you make the purchase. Requests for a different type of fiber may increase the price of the item.
I do not take custom orders for things you don't see in the shop (e.g., afghans, layettes, sweaters, mittens or socks).
