Just love the coffee mugs, well, I use mine for tea. The crafter that made these met me at a local craft show and the transaction couldn't have been smoother.

About

A little beauty for everyday.

I have been making pottery professionally since 2009. First, working independently, out of the studios of the Newaygo County Council for the Arts, in Fremont, MI and then as an Apprentice to Master Potter Peter F. Johnson at Terrestrial Forming Pottery Studio in Whitehall, MI. When my apprenticeship ended, I moved to Southeastern Michigan and I've been working with the Potter's Guild since then.

I make my work using a potter's wheel. I use a white stoneware clay body, and throw different forms using the wheel. Some simple pieces, like small bowls only need to be partially dried and then trimmed to finish the foot. Other items, like coffee mugs, or pitchers need to be trimmed and then have handles or other parts applied. Once all the parts are put together, I dry my work slowly to prevent cracking. Then they are fired without glaze up to 1826 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the bisque stage of firing. The wares are still porous enough to accept liquid glaze, but partially vitrified so they won't disintegrate in water. Then, I apply food safe glazes to the bisque ware, using wax resist to make most of my designs. The glazed pots are then fired a second time up to 2345 degrees. Once they are cool, they are ready to use!

All the work I make is food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I avoid using lead, barium in my glazes. I make my work to be used, enjoyed and given as gifts.

Payment
I accept direct checkout and paypal. In special circumstances I can also take personal checks.
Shipping
I use USPS. Priority mail in most instances, but parcel post when costs become prohibitive. Everything I ship is double boxed for safety, and I always insure. I will ship within 1-3 days of receiving payment.

I use recycled or reused (but completely intact) materials for shipping. 1. To keep your cost down. 2. Because buying fresh boxes and packing is silly. So a package from me may look a little odd, or claim to contain coffee or computer parts(don't believe it for a second.)... but it's whats inside that counts!

The shipping fee includes the price of postage and packaging fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please inspect your package for damage as soon as you receive it. If there is damage to the item, leave it in or keep the packaging or take photos for use in the claims process. Notify me as soon as possible and we will begin the claims process. Etsy provides a third party insurance company. Once I begin claims with the insurer, you will receive an email requesting a signed affidavit and any photos of the damaged item and shipping that you can provide. This is necessary for me to receive reimbursement for the broken item. Once you complete this step, I will receive confirmation from the insurer. No replacements or refunds will be issued until I If I have confirmation of this step.

If I have an appropriate replacement, I will ship it to you at no charge. If an item was a one of a kind, or there is no way I could remake it, or you cannot wait for the item to be remade, you will be refunded the cost of the item and any taxes. Shipping fee will not be refunded.

Refunds for any other reason other than breakage in shipping will not be given. If you are unsure of how an item looks, of the color or size, please convo me and I will do my best to provide enough information for you to make an informed decision.
Additional policies and FAQs
I do reuse images for some of my more popular items. This means that you may not be receiving the exact item shown in the picture. My work is quite consistent, so you should only expect minor, if any, differences in size and color. If you need to know the exact dimensions or volume of a piece, or for any reason would like a photo of an exact piece, please message me and I'll be happy to supply it.
