A Passion for Beads and Creating

It happened quite by accident. It was 2001, getting close to Christmas, and I wanted to make my mom some of those cool wine stem charms that were so popular back then. She had admired some in a store, so I took a close look, and I wondered if I could actually make her some myself.

I started looking online for the materials, namely beads, and an obsession was born! I found wonderful cloisonne jointed fish charms and pretty glass beads that were really fun to work with. She loved them! Needless to say, I didn't stop with the wine charms I made. I began teaching myself many of the popular beading techniques and making my own jewelry. I started selling my jewelry designs in 2002 on a popular auction site and then found Etsy. Back then, I really appreciated Etsy's focus on handmade goods.

I am a married mom of two amazing girls. My work is inspired by nature, art, vintage and antique aesthetics, and sometimes simply the way certain colors and shapes work together. I like to make things you won't find in a department store. I love jewelry that conjures a mood, that looks like it has a story to tell about the person who wears it.
