Announcement   I work with TenCate Advance canvas, the turnout gear fabric used by Globe in some of their higher quality bunker gear, and is the same fabric used in the retired gear items I sell. I am currently using both the brown and black canvas, so any item you see in the brown can also be done in black. The new fabric allows me to make larger items that weren't previously possible with the limited retired gear fabric. Keep checking back for new items! Also, if you have ideas for new products, please contact me! Many of the items you see featured here are the result of custom orders and ideas from customers.

I ordered two of these bag tags for a gift, wondering if there was any way I could get them in time for my event. I was pleasantly surprised that I had the items within 2 days of ordering! Thank you so much, I would buy again!

About

Finding function in the intersection of life and art

Art inspires, and life requires functionality. Why not combine the two? I love creating art, whether it is painting, drawing, sewing, photography and even the occasional power tool. And when those pieces can be used in every day life and make it more interesting and inspirational, that makes me happy and sends me down paths looking for new designs and techniques to apply those processes to other areas.

I am married to an amazing man, am kept on my toes by my almost 2-year old daughter, and have a studio in our home in Washington State.

Often, one project I am working on will lead to inspiration on another... hence the name "A Fork In The Quilt". I love the process of creating high quality, functional art that people can enjoy and use. And chocolate is pretty amazing too. Melissa
