About

The humble beginnings of A Humble Daisy

Honestly, I never set out to be a weaver. But I found a Harrisville Easy Weaver rigid heddle loom at a Salvation Army around 12 years ago and taught myself the basics of weaving. While I was studying music at UMass Dartmouth a few years later I had a free elective so I enrolled in Weaving I. I really fell for weaving then, and bought myself an old Ashford 4-harness table loom with my graduation money, which I use as a floor loom with the stand. These are still my two primary looms (although I have a few other rigid heddle looms) and that is the extent of my weaving training-everything else I know I have taught myself!
