WoodFreakz
WoodFreakz empezó en casa de nuestra familia en 2020, justo en el pico de la pandemia. Sierra y Alexis (hermanas) eran estudiantes de tiempo completo y buscaban maneras de generar ingresos mientras estaban en casa. James, nuestro padre, compró su primera máquina CNC y estaba ansioso por descubrir todas sus posibilidades. Juntos fabricaron numerosos artículos artesanales, vendiendo algunos de vez en cuando.
Lo que comenzó como un trabajo secundario rápidamente se convirtió en algo más.
En 2023, Alexis obtuvo su Doctorado en Farmacia y Sierra su Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas (BA) en Marketing. Tras graduarse, Sierra y James decidieron dedicarse por completo al negocio y ahora son copropietarios de WoodFreakz LLC. ¡El dúo padre-hija definitivo!
Durante el último año, WoodFreakz se mudó de la casa familiar y ahora cuenta con su propio taller. Construido desde cero (¡literalmente!), Sierra y James han trabajado incansablemente durante el último año para expandir WoodFreakz. Nuestra misión es ofrecer productos de calidad, inspirados en la carpintería original, donde los productos se fabricaban con madera auténtica y con la intención de durar. En combinación con tecnología moderna, el resultado son productos únicos que solo se pueden encontrar aquí.
Cada producto se elabora a mano en nuestro taller de San Antonio, Texas. Y planeamos mantenerlo así por muchos años.
WoodFreakz began in our family home in 2020, right at peak COVID time. Sierra and Alexis (sisters) were enrolled as full-time students and were looking for ways to create some income while being at home. James, our father, bought his first CNC machine and was eager to discover all its capabilities. Together they would make numerous handmade items, selling a few items here and there.
What began as a side hustle quickly turned into something more.
In 2023, Alexis would go on to receive her Doctorate in Pharmacy and Sierra would receive her BBA in Marketing. Upon graduating, Sierra and James decided to continue the business full-time and are now co-owners of WoodFreakz LLC. The ultimate father-daughter duo!
Within the past year, WoodFreakz has transitioned out of the family home and now has its own designated shop. Built from the ground up (literally!), the past year Sierra and James have been working nonstop in order to grow WoodFreakz. Our mission is to provide quality products, taking inspiration from original woodworking, where products were made from real wood and with intention to last. In combination with modern technology, our result is unique products that can only be found here.
Every single product is handmade in our shop in San Antonio, Texas. And we plan to keep it that way for years to come.
