About

Who Knew? I AM an Artist!

Funny, but for decades I never thought of myself as artistic because I can hardly draw a stick man! Evidently because I’m drawn to colors, I started flower arranging about 12 years ago. In the craft stores where I got my flowers I was lured over to the jewelry-making department. More pretty colors! But these ones SPARKLED! A lady blinkster was born.

I worked in banking and the insurance field for most of my working life and although I was grateful to have the income, I am much happier now that I can use my creative powers and can also work at my own pace. Sometimes I work until 11:00 or midnight in my studio to carry out an idea. As my own boss, I love having to answer only to myself!

I'm very precise and particular and will re-do a piece until it's perfect. I also test-drive the prototype for each of my designs to make sure they perform as I intended. I never forget that my reputation is at stake with every facet of my business, whether it be the quality and integrity of my pieces or my customer service.

Thankfully, I am both right-brained and left-brained, which serves me well. I can be creative in a variety of ways while my attention to detail is manifest in the quality of my work as well as in my excellent packaging skills (my dad was a packaging engineer) and all the other administrative aspects of running a business.

My other interests include playing the piano (mostly old standards and show tunes), writing poetry, Bible study, sharing funny things with people, and occasionally doing impressions.

Thanks for caring enough to read about me. Perhaps you can observe some of my personality in my pieces.

Payment
I accept PayPal and major credit cards through Direct Checkout. I also accept Etsy Gift Cards.

(North Carolina residents will be assessed sales tax at your county's tax rate to comply with the law.)

Your purchase signifies that you acknowledge you have read my Shop Policies and abide by them.

CUSTOM ORDERS require full payment before I can start working on them. After thorough consultation on the project between buyer and seller through Etsy Convos or emails, I will post a listing for purchase that will state all the details agreed upon including price and shipping cost. This listing will be marked "RESERVED LISTING FOR (First Name Only)...." I will notify the buyer when the listing is available for purchase and will actually send a direct link to it as well. The agreed upon time frame will also be declared in the listing.

CUSTOMS ORDERS are NOT RETURNABLE.
Shipping
*** Multiple items purchased in the same transaction from my shop will enjoy reduced shipping charges. These are shown on the "Cart" page. ***

All ONE-OF-A-KIND items already made and posted in my shop will be shipped within 2 BUSINESS DAYS of my receiving your payment.

Most of my Bridal and Bridesmaids selections can be made and shipped within 1 week. However, if your order contains many items or I have to order some materials for your pieces, it can take 4 weeks turnaround time. I encourage you to communicate with me about your needs as I really want to accommodate people if I can.

I usually ship via USPS First Class unless your country requires a different delivery format. First Class shipping within the US typically takes 2-5 business days.

International Orders usually take 1-2 weeks but can take as many as 12 weeks, sometimes being held up at Customs. Please be mentally prepared for that as a possibility. This is something over which I have no control.

DOMESTIC ORDERS: (Within US)

Items shipped to addresses within the US will include Delivery Confirmation. You will receive the tracking number in an email confirming that I shipped your item(s). I may also choose to insure your package at my own expense if it is not something I can reproduce easily.

CANADIAN ORDERS: It is difficult to figure precisely the correct postage for Canadian orders, especially if you selected priority shipping. If you paid at least $2.00 above the actual cost, I will reimburse you whatever the overcharge was. (I think like a buyer, because I am also one.)

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

I would be happy to ship my jewelry to any country where it is legal. But since SOME COUNTRIES RESTRICT what jewelry can be imported (yes, even gemstones, certain metals, etc.) THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE for checking his/her country's regulations.

The BUYER IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE for any CUSTOMS DUTIES, VALUE ADDED TAXES or IMPORT FEES. Please educate yourself on what to expect in the way of such fees so that you are not surprised. Since the laws differ from one country to the next, there is no way for me to know the regulations of each country.

BUYERS IN THE UK may find this link helpful:

and THIS QUOTE from the above link:

All other goods

If you order purchased goods other than alcohol, tobacco, perfume and toilet water from a country outside the EU then you:
• don't have to pay Excise Duty
• may have to pay Customs Duty on goods with a value that exceeds £135
• will have to pay import VAT on goods with a value that exceeds £15

Note that on all goods from outside the EU, Customs Duty is waived if the amount of duty calculated is £9 or under.

RETURNS POLICY:

CUSTOM ORDERS (those designed through consultation between buyer and seller in Etsy's Convos or through emails) ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

NON-CUSTOM PURCHASES may be returned at your own shipping expense.

Please observe the following, when returning:

1) I ask that you contact me within 3 business days of your receipt of the item(s) (the date on the delivery confirmation). Perhaps I can make an adjustment to the piece that will address your concern.

2) The item must be unworn and returned in the original packaging. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. The refund amount will be adjusted at the seller's discretion.

3) You must postmark the item back to me within 7 business days of our communication.

4) I will refund the purchase price (minus the shipping paid) within 2 business days of receiving the returned item.

If your satisfaction can be achieved by a slight adjustment of some nature, don't hesitate to contact me to ask if it's possible. Sometimes it is, and sometimes not, depending on the particular construction of the piece. I'll do my best to accommodate you.

My pieces are made to last a long time. Some pieces, however, (such as those containing fine-gauge precious metal findings and/or crystals) are of a delicate nature and require careful handling by the user. Just be sensible. I cannot be responsible for carelessness (or a baby pulling on it, etc.) but will stand by my workmanship. In the unlikely event that something comes apart, please contact me and the appropriate resolution will be determined, based on the circumstances. I am very accommodating by nature, but within reason.
