Announcement   I really enjoy making the items in my shop. I get a lot of pleasure when I do my craft shows and people tell me that my things are really nice and well made. It makes me smile. I always thank them. It is important that artists, whatever their art or craft may be, know that they are appreciated and that people enjoy their items even if they don't purchase them.

My profile photo is my wonderful daughter and myself. It was taken in San Francisco a few years ago.

I am always trying to come up with new and fun things to make. Right now I am working on making gift tags. Since each one is different I don't think that I will have them in my shop but rather sell them at my art and craft shows.

I also do photography. You probably can't tell from some of the photos of in my store but the photographs that I am selling are all done with love and care. I was selling them on Etsy but decided to get my own web page for those. You can see them at ajoyfulcreation1 . com

About

My name is Joy and so a Joyful Creation fits me and what I make.

I am knitting things that people want but also constantly trying out new designs. My funky hats got started a little over a year ago and are selling very well both on Etsy and in my craft shows.

I added on the sewing because not everyone likes scarves and during the warmer months, they usually don't sell. My eyeglass and sunglasses cases are becoming more and more popular as I come up with fun fabric.

This year I have decided that I also love photography. I started out by accident and now find that when I am outside my eyes are constantly searching for things to photograph. This is a new venture for me and so I am still learning and growing. I had my photos on Etsy but decided to move them to my own site: Ajoyfulcreation1 dot com.

I do quite a few craft faires at the end of the year each year. This allows me to see what people like and helps me to develop my products based on what I learn.

If you visit my FaceBook page please feel free to make comments and or 'like' my page. I am A Joyful Creation on FaceBook.

Owner, I Design And Then Make My Own Creations.

I live in the beautiful Northern California town of Nevada City. I love it here. I have the best of both worlds. I live in the mountains but I am only a few hours drive from the ocean and the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Shop policies

I can accept requests for items but if I can't get the yarn, material, etc. then I won't be able to make the items. Also, if I do make an item that is requested than you have to purchase it unless I say otherwise. Once I have started a custom order then I can't refund any money that has been paid for it so make sure it is what you truly want.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
  • Buy with Apple Pay
  • Pay with Sofort
  • Pay with iDeal
  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
All orders including custom orders must be paid for at the time of order.
Shipping
I ship my knit items via Priority Mail and it is reflected in my shipping costs. Outside the country and my eyeglass cases and photographs are generally shipped via First Class. All USPS. If you need overnight service then I will have to charge you accordingly.

I refund if I have charged you too much for shipping. If I make the error in calculation and don't charge you enough then I eat the additional shipping costs.

If an item is returned to me by the postal service and the address used is what you have requested, then I will have to charge you to resend the item. I will contact you if I receive something back.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will only refund money if I have overcharged for shipping. If an item has been damaged in shipping I will need for you to show proof by sending the whole package back to me.

I try to make sure that I do not send an item to you that has any problems with it. I have ripped out rows of knitting if I find a mistake and I do not send items with obvious mistakes in them. If you discover a serious mistake in something I have sent you, please contact me and let me know.
Additional policies and FAQs
I take pride in what I make and sell. Everything is hand made by me. The only thing that is not done by me is the actual printing of the photos and note cards. I take all the photos and I take the time to go in and edit each one so that it is the way I want it to look. After this is done, I send the digital photo to be printed.
