I fell in love with this necklace at the Chautauqua Festival in Wytheville. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this piece of wearable art. From the pictures, I was pretty sure I'd really like it, but now that I've seen and worn it, I absolutely love the artistry of this necklace. Here are a few of the reasons, The pendant and chain are designed to hang perfectly. The pendant is both substantial and light-weight. It is both understated and a focal point. Because of the way it is crafted, it captures and reflects light in multiple ways--the smooth part is reflective and frames the beautiful stone and the sassafras leaf has a bold outline, but with subtle, intricate veining and patina. These and other details of the metalwork leave me with a necklace that finishes almost any outfit beautifully and is at the same time an organic and talismanic work of art and a paean to nature.
