In July 2024 Hurricane Beryl threw a tree onto the roof of my studio which is attached to my house. Temporarily housed without access to my studio, I turned to my camera as a creative outlet. It’s been an interesting, fantastic ride, and I love my new artistic path.

I hope my photo prints bring as much joy (or more!), to you as they have to me.



Re: My Jewelry Creations: I am not creating new jewelry at this time, due to the loss of access to my studio, but if and when I do…

I like to create "tiny art" or “wearable collage” with each jewelry piece. Many pieces tell a story, some are just whimsical and come together as I play around in my studio. Often a piece will be inspired by a friend, a song, or a quote from one of my favorite authors/poets. People have told me they've purchased a piece, to hang in a place in their home or office; they will see it during the course of the day and it brings inspiration, a smile, or encouragement. This in turn inspires and encourages me, and definitely makes me happy! I truly hope my “tiny/wearable art” will also bring some happiness into your life.

I try my best to photograph my work accurately, to capture the sparkly nature and deep, varied shades of color in many of my pieces.

PLEASE READ: Minimum care required for my unique jewelry:
When stored in sealed bag with dessicant (included with jewelry purchase), your jewelry will remain beautiful for years. Desiccant absorbs moisture which causes jewelry to tarnish. This is especially important in humid climates.
Renew/Reactivate desiccant when color changes from blue to pink, or orange to dark green. Dessicant Packet can be baked in oven at 150-200 F for .5-1.5 hrs to reactivate; do not microwave desiccant packets.
DO NOT BAKE JEWELRY!
Reactivation time for dessicant varies with saturation of packets as well as with types of oven.

To create my "Secret Sauce" jewelry pieces, I start with my own blend of color and sparkles which I refer to as my "Secret Sauce." Different shades and values of color may be revealed in the piece, depending on the angle from which it is viewed. Bezel trays and other jewelry pieces I use come from a variety of jewelry suppliers and artisans.

Many of the charms or other artsy objects I include in my pieces are rescued parts of old jewelry which I have "rescued".

Each piece is unique; I have actually tried to duplicate pieces but exact duplication is impossible; no two are ever exactly alike.
I always try to do my very best work, however, as in all handmade art, imperfections do occur.
