Shop policies

Last updated on February 3, 2011
Welcome to the Etsy store of ANZ Jewelry Design!

Our policy is “satisfaction guaranteed”. We want happy customers who return and send referrals, rather than just a quick sale. If you’re not satisfied, we will do what’s necessary, up to and including a full refund less any shipping charges. We guarantee our workmanship. We can’t guarantee the stones because they’re rocks and can break but we will repair them and generally only charge for the material. It’s our wish that every customer is 100% satisfied with their purchase.

Returns and exchanges
We take great pride in our work, and create each piece with attention to detail because we want our customers happy and we want them to come back as return customers! If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase you can return any "unused, unworn" jewelry within 7 days from the day of receipt and we will give you a full refund on your piece; Original and return shipping costs excluded.

You will need to first contact us for a return authorization before returning an item so that our shipping instructions can be provided and we know to expect it. *If you send us merchandise without prior approval, your items may be returned to sender.

Returns must be shipped to ANZ Jewelry Design with postage and insurance already paid. We strongly recommend insuring any returned shipments for your protection. Return shipping costs and insurance fees are not reimbursable.

**Please note that any problems with the piece due to improper use or care by the buyer will not be replaced or refunded. Please familiarize yourself with the proper care of jewelry before purchasing.
Payment
PAYMENT OPTIONS
-PayPal: Our preferred method of payment. While opening a PayPal account is relatively quick and simple, you do not need a PayPal account to pay with a credit card. Simply select "Pay with PayPal" and follow the user-friendly prompts. (For international sales Pay Pal payment is required.)
-Cashiers Check* or Money Order*
-Personal Check*: Expect 5-7 days for our bank to clear your check

For custom orders: Please note that work will not start on a piece until payment has been received.

Items not paid for within 10 days will be relisted, unless we have agreed to other terms.

*If you choose to pay by check, please be aware that we will wait to receive your payment by mail and ensure it clears before shipping out your items.
Shipping
All jewelry items are shipped from California (USA) within two business days of receipt of cleared funds (excludes postal holidays). However, please note that if a piece is being made to order or if a ring requires sizing work, for example, additional time to do this is specified under the description and is in addition to shipping time specified here. If you need your piece in a rush for a holiday or special occasion, please contact us and we will do everything possible to accommodate you.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (For US residents)
We are willing to ship any way you want to pay for! Our default shipping is through the USPS with delivery confirmation. We can also ship using Priority mail (2 day delivery), OR Express mail (overnight-2 day delivery). Insurance is extra for pieces under $150. **We automatically insure, at no additional cost, any piece of jewelry that is $150 or more** Please let us know if you want your purchase insured at the time of purchase.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We find it exciting that our handmade jewelry is purchased worldwide, but we want to make sure shipping is according to the rules for your country, the cost options are accurate and that you have chosen the shipping option you prefer. With this in mind and before making your purchase, please contact us with your postal code so that we can provide you with options and then finalize your shipping choice. Please note the only shipping address we use for international shipping is your Paypal shipping address unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. Once your package is mailed by way of First Class International, it takes approximately two weeks* to reach its destination, many times sooner, but timing is not guaranteed. We are happy to provide additional shipping options (Priority, Express Mail International, etc.) and services (insurance for pieces under $150, registered, etc.), so you can decide what is best for you. Please note we are not responsible for any taxes, duties, customs or other fees that may be added when your package arrives, and we do fill out customs forms honestly.

*Longer to certain international addresses

GENERAL JEWELRY CARE:

Keep your jewelry in a clean, dry place such as a fabric-lined jewelry box or wrapped in a soft piece of cloth. Store pieces individually so they do not scratch one another and keep away from direct exposure to sunlight and air.
Avoid bringing jewelry into contact with perfume, hairspray or harsh chemicals such as bleach or chlorine. It is best to put jewelry on last while getting dressed and to remove while washing hands, performing housework, swimming, or engaging in other strenuous activity.
Over time, silver, and to a lesser extent, gold, will tarnish with exposure to air, chemicals, and oils in the skin. Pieces are best cleaned using a soft cotton cloth or felt (or, if necessary, a soft-bristled toothbrush) with mild, non-abrasive soap and warm water. Don’t scrub too hard or you will take the patina meant to be there away!! Be very careful not to dislodge any stones or wires. Rinse pieces thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storing. For best results, clean pieces periodically and handle with care! NEVER USE LIQUID CLEANERS with pieces that have been purposefully oxidized for that antique aged look!

Note: Do not use tissue paper or paper towel for cleaning, as their fibers can result in scratching. Be cautious if using commerical cleaners, as many can cause damage to certain semi-precious stones.
