Welcome! Here in A New Hampshire Attic, you'll find all manner of vintage items found in an actual attic of a New Hampshire home. More things are being added to my listings every week, so you will want to check back and visit often. (In fact, if you're looking for a particular vintage item that isn't listed here, ask me. I just might have it! )
Just a note about shipping currently -- for reasons unclear to me, there are still major USPS delays. Please keep in mind that your tracking number may say "Pre-transit" despite having been dropped off already. Some orders still say "Pre-transit" long after the customer receives them. I have no control over this.
I hope you enjoy your visit here in my attic and that you will find something here that makes you smile!

5 out of 5 starsOne of the nicest purchasing experiences on Etsy I have ever had. Seller communicative, with such a lovely manner. Notecard is outstanding, unique. Clean, no odors. I even received a beautiful extra notecard and some sweet “tidbits” of recipes, plus some kind thank-you words. I got a really good feeling about shopping here, which will keep me coming back.

More about my shop and process
I'm selling the contents of a New Hampshire attic! Nearly all of what you'll find here is from the 1940s through the early 1970s -- mostly vintage Christmas items and paper treasures of all sorts, along with vintage sewing patterns and notions. Nostalgia galore! I try to add new items each week, so if you enjoy vintage goodness, you're almost sure to find something here that you'll enjoy.
*A special note about the vintage greeting cards: I do my very best to show and describe these accurately and to price them fairly. I scan the cards rather than photographing them, as I feel that gives a more accurate look at the front, back, and inside of each card than a photo would do. In particular, it shows up any flaws so that the prospective buyer sees them clearly. I also measure each card and give the dimensions so the size is very evident. If a card is pre-owned, that is always clearly stated in the description and usually in the title of the listing as well. *
I follow this same scanning and measuring process with other small paper treasures like brochures, advertisements, leaflets, etc.
* And a special note about the vintage patterns: Please, please remember that these patterns are OLD. They are between 40 and 70 years old and many have been cut out, pinned to fabric and used to make garments. It is to be expected that these pattern envelopes may have tears, rips, stains (I've even seen coffee cup stains!) , and sometimes a lot of discoloration simply from being stored for years. The pattern pieces themselves tend to be very fragile and may also have rips and tears from being pinned. It's even possible that some pattern pieces may be missing. I can't always be sure that all of the pattern pieces are there, as I try to handle the patterns minimally to keep them usable. I do my best to be accurate, but do remember that these patterns are old, they are used, and as found objects they are being sold "as is". *
My goal in writing the description for any listing is to make it as complete as I can and to describe it accurately, fairly, and in as informative and interesting a way as possible.
For any listing, I do a good bit of research before pricing. My intent is to keep the shipping free. Other sources may have the same items for less, but they usually charge for shipping and I take that into account when pricing.
I try to package carefully (and creatively, if I can). Greeting cards will almost always be sent inside of another card via first class USPS.
And speaking of USPS, just a note about shipping currently: for reasons unclear to me, there are still major USPS delays. Please keep in mind that your tracking number may say "Pre-transit" despite having been dropped off already. Some orders still say "Pre-transit" long after the customer receives them. I have no control over this.
If you need to contact me with a question, Etsy Conversations is always the best way. I do not communicate by text message.
Happy browsing, and I hope you'll find some special treasures here! At the very least, I hope you'll find some items that bring a nostalgic, reminiscent smile to your face!
