A Pook and a Peep
I've always loved planning events and creating cute, original, items for those events. After the birth of my first child, affectionately referred to as Pook, in 2007, I really got into planning his parties and helping friends and relatives plan theirs! I loved coming up with new themes, ideas, and designs and wished I had more events to go with all the ideas floating around my head. In 2011, a year after the birth of my second son (Peep) I finally took the plunge at the suggestion of others and started my business. I am forever grateful for the success I've had and my many wonderful customers I've met and love being involved in so many special milestones for so many. I am always excited to try new things and create adorable new party themes, so if you do not see what you’re looking for contact me and we’ll create the perfect party together. Convos are always responded to within 24 hours (usually much less) when sent during normal business hours. (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm CST).
Starting with my wedding and then my children's birthday parties, I’ve always loved creating adorable celebrations for the special moments in my life and the lives of those I love. I treat each order the way I would as if I were creating something for my own family. Everything you see and order will be created by hand, by me, in my home studio.
I do not believe in sitting on an order for weeks on end because someone plans ahead, negatively impacting the client. I try to get orders out as quickly as possible given current work load without sacrificing quality. Orders will ocassionaly be given priority by date, but all orders are created in the most timely fashion possible.
Given the nature of the items I create and that I personally create every item I offer by hand and they are often personalized, all orders are created once payment is received. Please see the shop announcement on the main page of my shop for current turn around times. If you need your order more quickly, please contact me for rush order availability.
Please include your event date in the comments at check out as this allows me to ensure your order is completed and shipped with as much time to spare as possible :)
A rush order is any order that is needed more quickly than the current scheduled turn around time posted. Do note the posted time is to ship. Please contact me in advance of placing any rush order so that I can ensure scheduling allows. If possible, I will do my best to accommodate rushes. Please note that rush orders MAY be subject to a rush order fee in addition to expedited shipping charges, though I try to avoid these if possible. Rush order fees cover the added time creating an order, increased cost of supplies due to having to purchase from higher priced vendors in a time crunch, and unscheduled supply, shipping, and product runs.
I am happy to work with you to create the perfect event! For some this may be altering colors, fonts, or images, or even creating an entirely new theme - please feel free to contact me to discuss!
Please note due to stock availability, ribbon colors on items may vary slightly depending what is available. While I strive to make all items exactly as pictured unless otherwise noted or requested, occasionally ribbon choices are limited. In this case ribbons for banners and embellishment may be substituted with other coordinating colors to your theme.
It is also important to understand the limits of computer monitors when matching colors. I take all product photos in natural light with a Nikon D5000 DSLR and do minimal editing on all product photos to keep them as true to color as possible. However, computer monitors/cameras etc all interpret color differently so often 100% exact matches are not always possible.
Accepted payment methods
I take great care in shipping your items to you safely and efficiently - this includes shipping most items in boxes, not envelopes, with ample packaging protection to keep your items undamaged in transit. I ship most items (under 13oz) via First Class Mail (2-5 days). For larger orders and rush orders I ship via USPS Priority Mail (2-3days) or UPS. If you wish to add shipping insurance please contact me. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible but will not sacrifice security or quality - I know how important these items are to my customers and will not ship items in a way that they are likely to be damaged just to save a few cents.
Please make sure to include your event date with your order to ensure that your items arrive with ample time! If no event date is indicated, your order will be scheduled at the latest date of the specified turn around time (posted in shop announcements).
Please note that once a package leaves my hands, I have no control over what happens next - with that in mind if you wish to purchase shipping insurance to cover lost/damaged mail please let me know at time of purchase.
Refunds and Exchanges
Sometimes I will begin working on an order within minutes of it being received, so order cancellations cannot be guaranteed. If you need to cancel an order and I have not started on it, I will be happy to do so. However, if I have I will not be able to cancel the order.
