The thrilling origin story for A Punch in the Art

One day I realized that I needed to start creating things because the things I really want often don't exist yet. After several failed attempts of learning how to complete a magic ring, I finally found someone who could show me step-by-step how to execute the perfect first stitch.

Thus my first Cthulhu was born.

After that, I started imagining other creatures, characters, and concepts in yarn form. Soon, red, white, and black mages followed. Then I started looking into other fandoms - Movies, Anime, etc - and soon, I had friends making requests. I knew I had found something I loved that I could share with other people.

Every crocheted item in my shop is handcrafted by me!

My wife, Mina has always been supportive in my endeavor. When I couldn't decide on a name for my store, Mina handed me A Punch In The Art on a silver platter. She goes to every convention with me to help me sell my work, helps me with new concepts, and even draws up some designs for me to work from!

Recently, we started adding products with her artwork to our convention table. Now, it's time to bring those products to Etsy too!

Welcome to our little corner of Etsy!

I crochet because I love it. It's relaxing, entertaining, and feeds my need to be creative. Some of the things you'll find are born out of commissions. Others come simply from a love of the subject.

My wife is an artist who loves to draw cute and random doodles. Sometimes, I can talk her into making stickers, lanyards, buttons, or pins out of said doodles! You can find her work throughout the shop and tagged with WT2.

The following is my general return/exchange policy when there isn't a pandemic to consider:

I take a lot of pride in my work, but my first concern is to make sure that you as my customer are happy.

I accept all forms of Etsy Payments which are pretty extensive.

I am currently shipping very quickly - often the next business day - so if you need to cancel your order, please do so as soon as possible. Once a shipping label has been purchased, it is likely that the package will be out my door and taken to the post office within a couple of hours.
Shipping
At this time, we are taking all packages directly to the post office on Mondays and Thursdays. Shipping labels may be created on other days so you might get a shipping notification early.

All items are shipped via USPS with the tracking option when/where available.

If you need an item shipped in another way (Fed Ex, UPS, etc), please send me a message prior to making your purchase. I will need to verify shipping costs prior to your purchase if you choose another method.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that much of my amigurumi is made to order. My items are often sold at conventions so many of the pictures I use are only examples of the amigurumi I have previously made. Please feel free to message me to ask for pictures of specific items in specific colors if you want to see exactly what options I have available. Color variations will exist due to the nature of the yarn I have available to me.

Please contact me prior to buying if you need your item by a specific date.
