Inkling my way through life.........
I am a passionate and prolific inkle weaver.
At the age of 17 I saw my first inkle loom and with the help of a library book and my dad, I built myself one. Now I own 10 inkle looms, some home-made and some made by large manufacturers. Each has it's own purpose. One for wider pieces, one for longer pieces, and one to pack in the suitcase for travel.
Inkle looms produce warp-faced bands, no wider than 6 inches.
Even with such a narrow constraint, I find endless ways to combine colors into patterns, constantly finding new materials, techniques and inspirations.
I enjoy custom orders and special requests. If you can't find what you are looking for, we can work together to create something special combing your vision and my talent.
I also have two other Etsy shops for special markets:
One-of-a-kind guitar straps can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WeaverGuitarStraps
Straps and sashes for historical costume, Native American regalia, etc can be found here:
Owner, Creator, Designer
Rick has been a fan of Annie's weaving since they first met. He helps out by making the leather tabs for guitar straps and kits. As a retired precision machinist, he is particular about details. His second love is old cars.

New Mexico Fiber Crawl
New Mexico offers a wealthy textile tradition that is steeped in its diverse culture and enriched by its extensive history. To honor, promote and showcase the creative work produced by fiber artists across New Mexico the Española Fiber Arts Center (EVFAC) is launching its first annual New Mexico Fiber Crawl, taking place May 13-14, over Mother’s Day weekend, and beginning with Friday night Kick-off Parties on May 12. This free event takes you on a tour of cultural centers, stores, museums, farms and the studios of local Fiber Artists from Albuquerque to Taos. The New Mexico Fiber Crawl promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone. During the two-day event participants will be given a free Fiber Crawl Passport and a map with a list of artists and sites along the trail. Edgewood is the location of weaver Annie MacHale's studio (ASpinnerWeaver and WeaverGuitarStraps). Annie will be joined by several artisan friends.
