I have always been interested and involved in some sort of art. Painting, drawing, ceramics, macrame to mention a few. I enjoyed the creation of unique pieces and loved to share and gift my work to family and friends.

Several years ago I began working with stained glass art as a medium. I was fascinated by glass and the endless possibilities of the art. My greatest pleasure was to create special gifts for my family and friends. While working in my studio, I would gaze into the glass - whole sheets and pieces, and would "see" crosses. Every size and shape, some symmetrical, but the truly amazing ones were abstract, free form. It was like the glass was speaking to me. It was then I began creating my "free form" crosses. Whenever I am working in my studio, I still see in the glass endless opportunities to create these crosses, my true passion with this art medium. Each cross has a unique form, all different, yet all the same, and each one brings to me comfort and peace as I build every piece. My inspiration for each cross begins with the glass, the colors, the textures, then shape and structure, each is then soldered and finished, some with wire and bead decorations.

My family has always been so very supportive and has encouraged me to market my glass art. I guess you can say I was inspired, by a greater power to begin this business and share my work with others. Thus I am here, with my shop, to share my art, my inspiration, my passion with all of you. As in the name of my shop: "A Sunrise Stained Glass..."for the joy of it", my hope is my art brings as much joy and pleasure to each of you as it brings to me as I create and work in this medium.
