My passion lies in capturing cityscapes and urban culture in my paintings. This goes back to my childhood years. I grew up in a big city. I have always been attracted to historical buildings, curious about the stories behind them. This curiosity aroused me to sketch and draw historical buildings, their environs and later urban life. After a long career in academia and teaching art history at an academy of fine arts, I switched to sketching and painting urban scene both I currently become a part and travelling. My technique has evolved in time from pencil drawing to watercolour. All of my merchandize you will find in my shop featuring my watercolour paintings and illustrations. I will soon extend my collection to illustrations of the world's charming cities, however Toronto will remain in the centre of inspiration. When you want to decorate your home, when you want to buy yourself a coffee mug, when you want to celebrate the special moments of your friends or loved ones with a greeting card reflecting the vibes of Toronto, your choices are limited.
