About

history, ornament and nature...

Growing up in Michigan, I spent my summers camping in the U.P., collecting rocks on the beach and seed pods in the woods. I could spend hours examining the things I collected, studying all the tiny little details. It amazed me how the littlest things in nature could be so beautiful and intricate. So complex that it makes you realize everything has its purpose.

Art has always been my life. I can't live without creating with my hands. My passion for art started with clay. I graduated with a B.F.A in sculpture in Michigan, then furthered my studies in New York and Maine. And then I decided to study in Italy where I fell in love with jewelry making (and a certain man).

Living in Italy for the past 10 years now, my obsession with nature and all its detail makes sense. I live in the heart of the Renaissance where their obsession with the details of nature cover every door, window and ceiling. I love historical ornament because it celebrates the minute beauty of life. I try to capture this in my own work and hope that it reminds you to appreciate the "thousands of joys" that are hidden in nature.

I'm really proud to add that I have created a summer collection which is featured in Anthropologie for summer 2015.

Thank you for checking out my shop! All things are handmade in Italy by me. I use traditional techinques, and all my silver is recycled. I personally melt it down and hand roll it into sheet or pull it into wire. So not a bit of silver gets wasted. I've put a lot of love and good energy into my jewelry so enjoy!

Additional policies and FAQs
I'm happy to take custom orders. I'm also happy to modify a design I already make(ex: change the size or texture). Just let me know what you're thinking and I'll see if I can create it for you.

Jewelry care:

First and most important, give your piece lots of love. Jewelry is special and meant to be past down.
I like things to look antique so I always use a patina to accent the details. Which means only use a cleaning cloth, never liquid cleaner!
The more you wear your piece the better it looks, the oils in your skin keep it clean and shiny, but if you have to store it, store it in a plastic bag or closed container. Silver does tarnish if left out for a long period of time. Moral of the story, wear your piece! It was made for you to enjoy!
