5 out of 5 starsPurchased this beautiful blanket as a gift for friends when their daughter was born. It's super soft and just adorable! And it matches the description and is even prettier in person!

5 out of 5 starsI gasped when I took it out of the package, it was so beautiful. This is a gift for a friend, however, I intend to order another one just like it for my great nephew. I have ordered beautiful quilts from Etsy before, but this one is my favorite.

Frequently asked questions
How Long Does It Take to Make a Custom Baby Rag Quilt?
At A Vision to Remember you will find handmade rag quilts, crib bedding, and nursery blankets that are sewn to order - nothing is mass produced or pulled off a shelf. Once you place your order it goes into my queue, and current processing time is typically 1-2 weeks depending on how many orders are open.
That is the tradeoff for a handmade heirloom: a quilt sewn for your baby, in your colors, instead of a factory blanket.
Ordering for a baby shower, a due date, or a holiday? Message me first and I will tell you honestly whether your timeline works.
How Do I Wash and Care for a Rag Quilt?
The rag quilts you will find at A Vision to Remember are, well, ragged - I hand clip every exposed seam to create that soft frayed texture, and I wash each quilt once before it ships to you.
Keep a lint roller handy. Fresh from the dryer there will be loose lint, fibers, and strings, and for the next few washes your quilt will want a quick roll before use.
To wash: cold water, like colors, your usual laundry soap. Tumble dry, and check the lint trap several times the first few rounds - it fills fast.
The more you wash a rag quilt, the fluffier and softer those ragged edges become. These are made for real babies and real laundry.
What Fabrics Do You Use in Your Baby Quilts and Crib Bedding?
Every quilt at A Vision to Remember is sewn from designer cotton and soft flannel, and I hand select each fabric myself for heirloom quality nursery bedding.
Because these are handmade, I cannot guarantee exact fabric placement, or that every print shown in the photos is still available when I make yours. As manufacturers discontinue fabrics, I substitute ones of similar style, color, and theme.
If you love a specific fabric or placement, message me before ordering and I will tell you exactly what is in stock for the quilt you are eyeing.
How Do I Care for Ruffled Valances, Crib Skirts, and Curtains?
Wash on a cold gentle cycle with like colors, then air dry - no hot dryer.
At A Vision to Remember you will find ruffled valances, crib skirts, and curtain panels made to coordinate with your quilt, so you can pull a whole nursery together in one fabric family: quilt, crib skirt, window valance, and pillow shams. They work beyond the nursery too - kitchens, laundry rooms, and kids bedrooms.
Want window treatments matched to a quilt you already own from my shop? Message me with the quilt name and I will match the fabrics for you.
Can I Add a Personalized Name or Monogram to My Quilt?
Yes. Personalization is built right into the listings at A Vision to Remember - look for "Add personalization" under the size options and type the name, initials, or date you want. The cost shows before you check out.
I'm finishing the rollout across the shop right now, so if a quilt you love doesn't show the box yet, just message me and I'll get your name added to the order.
I stitch every bit of embroidery in house. Names, initials, birth dates, and short phrases all work beautifully, and they're what turn a baby quilt into a keepsake - a favorite for baby showers, birth gifts, and gifts from grandparents. Message me with any font or thread color preferences.
Can You Change the Colors or Fabrics on a Quilt?
Yes. Custom color changes are the heart of what you will find at A Vision to Remember - you are never limited to the fabrics in the photo.
Send me a quick message with what you have in mind: a nursery color scheme, a theme such as woodland, nautical, western, floral, or sports, a paint color, or a fabric you love. I will tell you what is possible and what it would cost.
I keep thousands of yards of designer cotton and flannel in stock with many choices in every color family, so most requests are doable. That is the beauty of a custom quilt - it gets made for your nursery, not someone else's.
I Need a Baby Quilt by a Certain Date - Can You Meet My Deadline?
Often yes, but message me before you order. Processing time at A Vision to Remember is approximately 1-2 weeks, and I will tell you honestly whether your baby shower, due date, or holiday deadline is doable. If there is any way to move your order up in the queue, I will.
Already ordered? Add your event date in the "note to seller" box, or message me, and I will do everything I can to ship in time. I cannot guarantee an arrival date since transit times are beyond my control, but I will keep you posted on where your order stands.
Every quilt here is handmade to order, so the earlier you reach out, the more I can do.
What Should I Know About Your Wooden Toys and Laser Cut Baby Products?
Alongside quilts, at A Vision to Remember you will find wooden baby toys, monthly milestone cards, and newborn photo props, all laser cut in house. They are popular as gender neutral baby shower gifts and first year photo sets.
Two honest notes. Freshly laser cut wood can carry a lingering burn smell - airing the piece out, or staining, painting, or sealing it, removes that completely. Wood grain and coloring also vary from piece to piece, so yours will not match the photo exactly. That is natural wood, not a flaw.
Message me if you would like a milestone set or toy personalized with a name.
Will the Quilt Colors Look the Same as They Do in the Photos?
Close, but every screen shows color differently - a quilt may look warmer or cooler on your phone than in person. If you are matching a specific tone, message me before ordering and I will help you get it right.
Lighting and decor matter just as much. Gray can carry yellow, brown, blue, or green undertones, and your room will pull those out of the fabric. A gray with brown undertones beside blue toned paint will read as a clash.
I photograph all A Vision to Remember bedding in natural light, but the same rules affect my pictures. Have a paint chip, crib sheet, or nursery photo? Send it and I will match fabrics to it.
What Sizes Do You Make, and Are Your Quilts One of a Kind?
No two quilts from A Vision to Remember are ever exactly alike. Fabric placement varies, and prints go out of production and get swapped for similar ones. I plan each quilt as I cut, lay out, and sew it.
Sizes here run from crib and toddler quilts through twin, full, queen, and king, plus rag quilt pillow shams, crib skirts, and t-shirt memory quilts sewn from clothing you send me.
Want to watch yours come together? Message me and I will send a photo of your fabrics before cutting, or the quilt laid out after. I am always glad to.
