I'm happy to welcome you to "A Word Fitly Spoken …"
Since 1992 I have served my local area with professional sewing services. Now I offer high-quality, Sentimental and Inspirational Products on-line, both custom-made and ready-to-buy.
My business is based on the belief that every client deserves personal attention, reasonable cost, and the highest quality of workmanship. I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you some of the best service in the industry.


Secure, On-line Payment with Direct Credit or PayPal, which includes PayPal E-checks.
A 6.25% sales tax will apply when purchased from Massachusetts.
You are welcome to pay with Personal Checks or Money Orders, but please note that your order will not ship until your payment has cleared.

Custom Orders require a down payment of all materials and 1/2 of the labor charge. This payment will be released to me at the start of your project so that I can purchase your supplies and begin the work.

For Custom Orders, work will not begin on your order, nor will materials be purchased until your project details are approved by you and at least your first payment to A Word Fitly Spoken has cleared. Your on-line or postal mailed payment verifies that you approve the Estimate.

Most Custom Order shipping and handling fees are paid when the order is packaged and ready to go.

No cancellation on a Custom Order can be made once the materials have been purchased and/or work has begun.

Ready-made items ship within 3 business days. International shipping cost is more estimated than local shipping cost, so International shoppers can feel free to contact me with their postal code before payment to receive an order-specific S&H cost, which may or may not be lower than the one given with the item listing. Once you have received notice of your shipment, your order cannot be cancelled.


I offer Secure and Prompt Shipping with the USPS.
Every Item over $50.00, and every Custom Made Order, is insured for your protection and mine. The cost of the insurance will be reflected in your S&H cost. You may request insurance for any item not already covered, and that fee will be added to your S&H charge.
**Please make any requests for Shipping Insurance BEFORE making your payment.

Ready-made items will ship within 3 business days from the time your payment clears.

Custom Order shipment times will vary according to the project you have commissioned. I update you during your project's process via email or Etsy conversation. You will be notified via email when your order is ready to ship.

By default, all orders in the USA will ship First Class (if under 16 ounces), and Priority Mail or Parcel Select if over 16 ounces.
You may specify a shipping method at the time of your order placement, if you like; your shipping cost will be adjusted accordingly.

International orders that are under 4 pounds and not too bulky will ship First Class International mail. All other International orders will ship either Priority Mail International or the least costly method, whichever you choose.
Customs & Duty Fees and any requirements of your own country are the responsibility of the buyer.

Refunds and Exchanges

*All Custom Orders are insured for their market value at the time of shipping. Any damage occurring to orders in-transit will be covered by shipping insurance. It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER to see that a safe place is made available for the delivery of packages when no one is at home.

*It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER to read the product descriptions carefully when purchasing ready-made products, noting size, color, materials and theme. There is little chance of breakage or damage to any item during shipping, since most are fabric made.
If upon receipt of a Ready-made item you are dissatisfied with the workmanship of that item, you may CONTACT ME and then return it for a merchandise refund within 10 business days of its purchase date in the United States, and within 14 business days Internationally. Return shipping is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER, and the product must be returned in the same condition and with the same packaging as you received it.

*CUSTOM ORDERS CANNOT BE REFUNDED. I make every effort to update you on the progress and appearance of your product during its assembly time with convos or emails and photos, so that corrections or adjustments can be made at your request. I stand behind every order, and will gladly rework anything that has been my error if you are not satisfied.

If ordering for a specific occasion or event, please contact me first so that I can give you the current lead time for completing your order, and so that you can be assured that your project will fit into the schedule in a timely fashion.

You’ll choose your fabrics and design options and be given a Price Quote and approximate Delivery Date for your order.
* Please Note: once materials for custom orders have been ordered, you cannot change your color, fabric, or pattern options, so be sure of them before we agree that it is time to begin your project.
