About

Goths At Heart

I started to create custom tribal fusion belly dance costumes for myself back in 2008 for performances and later made costumes for my friends. After having quite a number of people coming up and trying to buy my costumes off of me (sometimes while I'm still wearing them lol), I gained the confidence to create things for other people and opened Absinthe Dancer on Etsy.
As the years passed, I changed my style to a more darker alternative side and begun incorporating studs/spiked and anything horror related into my already goth fashions. I loved the punk leather jackets, vests & dresses but they were always way too expensive so I created my own.
My husband is an amazing armor designer so I asked him to join, thankfully he said yes. We changed the name of Absinthe Dancer to Heretic Dolls so we can have more freedom to make other things other than belly dance costumes. Thank you for stopping by our shop!
